I'm now the Master of the Hospitaliers and of the Templars. Holy orders chief ftw.

So, you can form Holy Operations Command! HOCOM for short. </badjoke>
I ... I don't get it  :(
HOCOM: Papal Seals!
HOCOM: Pope Unknown.
HOCOM: Papal Defense.

CK2+ adds a lot of small changes, so its possible there's something you aren't aware of.  I know that it specifically changes how crusade lands are awarded, but I can't remember how.
I think the differences are that they offer you the ability to give it to relatives, and others in the crusade may want some land in it. That shouldn't effect the actual warscore as it only comes into play after the war is won.

Beyond that, warscore has usually seemed pretty consistent to me.  Can you check what their warscore is before the crusade ended?  Its possible there's some quirk of how lands taken in crusade are awarded that is messing with you, and in that case the game may show you as having a higher warscore before the war ends.
How would I have known that they had 6K more warscore if I didn't check before the war ended? Anyway, I had less warscore.

It would have to be a severe weight difference, though, because I (and some others) did so much more in the war than he ever did. It would also have to be based on capitals, too, because I do have some Italian holdings.

I lost at max 1981 less men than him (at least, on solo battles, I'm sure I lost a lot more helping the pope in his battles), but killed 14891 more troops and occupied 5 holdings while he occupied none. Surely warscore isn't that broken?

Man, this game just screwed me over.

See, the pope had called a crusade against the Byzantine Empire. Me, the king of Denmark and some other less powerful rulers went over there and, despite many losses and being outnumbered, thanks to me (I am not even kidding at that) we outsmarted the Byzantine Empire. I had won pretty much every major victory, and captured a fair amount of places.

However, apparently Lombardy contributed more to the war. I call bull because not only did they seemingly not capture a single territory, but they didn't even win any battles in the war! I killed tens of thousands, and all they did was walk like idiots around and get murdered. Yet apparently they had 6K or so more warscore. Even after I resigned and reloaded. Sigh. Does anyone have any idea how that happened?

I'm playing the mod CK2+ if it matters.

Went to sleep at 12 AM. Woke up at 2 AM. Now it is 5 AM and I have given up on sleeping. I am still irritated from before I went to sleep, so right now I am... mildly upset. I'm sort of in a tired, sad, irritated, and frustrated state of mind right now. Really not many ways to describe it.

Seriously, I go to sleep just two hours early, going to get my full night's sleep instead of crappy 6-8 hours on average, and for some reason my subconscious and body decide they want to pull an all-nighter instead of actually getting some worthwhile sleep. I guess I'm going to be sleeping at lunch time or something.

Who's up for another Sunday game? I am, assuming I'm not interrupted before then.

Sorry, but I think I'm going to drop off this even though I'm not in any other RTDs. 5 months or so really derails things. I have no idea what was happening, I have no idea what has happened in the distant past, and I don't think I have the want to look through the multiple hundreds of pages to try and desperately get a grip on things.

In addition, besides that, I wasn't really into continuing a whole lot after the last pause in the first place, I was unhealthily holding on to the RTD despite that. And we seem to not be very compatible anyway, considering that we're really the only ones that argue. I don't think I conflicted with a GM this much in any other RTD I've ever been in.

So yeah, consider me out. I might be interested in a new RTD, possibly even in the same universe. But not this one.

If the third line means what I think it means, it means you can hack fabs, get the basic ship types, then grab the fab and go crazy.
Turns out, it doesn't mean what I think it means. You can only make MK5s. Still, sometimes ensuring you have that ship type forever might be useful. I mean, nobody likes raiders or champions charging in past your defenses and blowing up your irreplaceable fab.

Hey guys, guess what?

Hacking got much more awesome.

Basically now when the AI gains AI Progress you also gain Hacking Progress. So it gets stronger, but you get to exploit new "vulnerabilities". You can also spend more HaP than you have, but when it goes negative the AI's response to hacking gets nasty fast. For now here's what the Hacker ship can do:
- Extract knowledge from an AI planet that's in supply.
- Redirect the research at an AI-controlled ARS on an AI planet so you can pick which of the planet's three bonus types to unlock instead of just the default one.
- Reverse-engineer an AI-controlled Fabricator on an AI planet so you can build that type of ship without holding the irreplaceable.
- Reverse-engineer an AI-controlled Advanced Factory or Advanced Starship Constructor on an AI planet so you can build that kind of MkIV ship without holding the irreplaceable.

If the third line means what I think it means, it means you can hack fabs, get the basic ship types, then grab the fab and go crazy.

Also:

Another major change was actually needed for the new hacking forms, but is a pretty major utility improvement all around: Space Docks and Starship Constructors (and similar broad queue-builders) can now build the mkIV and mkV versions of the ship types available at them (and Space Docks should be able to build the experimental fab fleet ships, though that may still be a bit rough) IF you have the necessary fabricator/factory/constructor OR the necessary hacking of said. This will probably make fabricator types and whatnot more usable in general, though generally speaking the intragalactic warp gates largely took care of this in the past.
Yay! No more scattering engineers all over the place!

I've been wanting to play simearth for ages, and I've failed to find a way of doing so all this time.
Use DosBox perhaps?

I'm pretty sure I also have both it and its expansion. Haven't played it for a while, maybe I should pick it up again.

That makes sense of it, though - I became a count, I believe, but not a duke. So as a Chieftain, I should aim to either stabilize succession OR to form a duchy. That... helps a lot, thanks guys. I'll take any extra hints, though :P
Little tip on "Stabilizing" the succession: Blades to the back do wonders to annoying brothers of inferior traits. Don't be afraid of ruining your old man's reputation if he's about to die.

My heir only received all of one territories, one I conquered recently. The title I created went to another heir, and the rest went to a third. What the hell?
Did you not have any "title loss" warnings?

When you become a duke, you will no longer lose territories other than the ones outside your duchy. Same goes with the kingdom.
To clarify what he means, he means that when you hold the duchy you can never lose territory in that duchy (unless someone who's going to leave your duchy happens to have some of his land in there). In fact, as soon as you have a duchy, I'm pretty sure you can never lose any county-level vassals or holdings except to other, already independent countries. Same with kingdoms and duchies.

However, if you form or get two duchies or kingdoms, or you just plain happen to be a count, and you don't have some higher rank that you have only one of, you will lose all De Jure vassals and land to whoever Gavelkind set to inherit the land, as your sibblings will be inheriting titles of similar ranks to you. And dukes cannot be vassals to dukes. Same with kings. This is why it may be a good idea to avoid getting multiple duchies or kingdoms on Gavelkind unless you're going to quickly try and become a higher rank or change the succession law.

Yeah, destroying holdings happens every once and a while. But who cares, you still get loot!
