Does anyone have any opinions on whether to flags in the exported files or not? I'm torn about including it, I don't really see the point tbh, and representing them in a nice way will be a pain. Without flags, I just exported 200+ Dwarves to an XML file and it was nearly 16k lines long XD

It's ok, just means I'll have to build something even better :D

Whaaaat new map? All my work lost :(

The aqueduct has water again. There's so much fire to put out :( I've done a fair bit though. I put a load of wood I gained while putting out fires in the house that burned down so it can be used to re-build or w/e

I edited my other post as well but:

Ok, over reaction. Sorry. I fixed it and it's all good. If you want to pour lava or w/e can you do it from the tower above or hide the pouring devices. You can modify the tower to do it if you want, but I ask that no one change the entrance. I think it looks really good and suits the hall. It was totally natural as well, I didn't have to change the shape at all, save mining it out

Gah keeps crashing on me, built a balcony thing over the mountain hall entrance we can pour magma from and explored hell a bit. Iron and gold everywhere at the moment.

You can get furnaces semi-working if an op gives you an already lit one

I'm sorry to keep disappointing people, but apart from colours it's not in DFHack yet. Maybe I'll look at trying to add it when I get some free time, but I'm not promising anything. In the next release you can expect at least:

  • Sorting
  • Labour adding
  • CSV export (possibly xml if I get time)
  • The ability to perform Genocide on a race...
  • Raw CivID displayed instead of checkbox

Think that's all for now

Just had an idea for some functionality that could be added in a future release that I think is quite inspired. We could give the user the ability to create dwarf "Templates" which could then be applied to every dwarf. I.e. they configure the base skill levels, attributes, labours etc as a template in xml or whatever, then when they start a new fort they tell Runesmith to apply this template to every dwarf. Its like an easy way to do initial configuration on a group of dwarves.

This game is so addictive. DF should use some of C418's music as it's sound track like Minecraft does

538
I did the mountain hall with some help and am now extending it and building a tower on top

What he said, but I suggested excel so that when you load the exported files with excel/open office they look nice, which is hard to do manually.

apart from that, not really
