Some say in an ideal society, menial work should be left to machines while humans pursue science, meaning, and intellectual/spiritual discovery.I disagree. While I think more people will be able to move into science and engineering, I also think that more and more people will be able to move into the arts. It is already evident that we have more people involved in creating art in one form or another than ever before, this can only continue, and to great benefit to mankind. No longer will the only music you hear be the Emperors favorite pianist, now the economy can support a much wider range of tastes.
Bollocks, no idea what to say about this.I ended up contacting her mother and telling her why she needs to go to the police and how they can help her. I'm not sure if they will go through with all charges, some things are pretty hard to go through with, but to my understanding they are back in their home, and he is somewhere else... I'm operating on the end of a string here and not hearing much, but things are looking a little better.

Remember, it's intolerant to be opposed to limiting people's civil rights and actively debasing them.You say that, but then what constitutes a civil right is up for debate.
See, that's the knife edge.So you accept that politicians have the right to vote when they feel needed, and the right to not like homosexuality, but choosing to vote on a law that relates to homosexuality is incompetence.
Nobody should force them NOT to vote, they should CHOOSE not to vote, having determined themselves unsuitable to vote impartially.
But that's the rub-- incompetent people are notoriously bad at determining competency.
