forget medical equipment, and use the extra to bring about 160+ booze, the first time i played a glacier i forgot the migrants now come in summer and fall, i died of thirst before the caravan...
No animals
No ax's
A pick for every miner
No seeds, unless you want something other than plump helmet
just make shure you can last till the caravan, theyll bring you food and booze, and so will the elves, just buy them both out of every consumable item, and strengthen your fortress, line the entrance from the caverns with traps, never fully live in them until you think you can handle it, and be shure to wall yourself off, this prevents the stupid things from causing trouble, and only the flying things would then be able to get in, unless you cover it and seal off the opening...

I would have to say that glaciers are one of the hardest places to live, even deserts are better cause of the soil layers, and the occational saguaro or even the chance of a river.

Hit them.
You drop your spear and swing your ax to strike a wolf, you miss him a few times due to their amazing agility, but you land a hit on a rear leg, seriously cripling the wolf, the otherone latches onto your non ax weilding arm!

Axe to each ones neck.
You accually aim this time around and manage to hit the one on your arm in the neck, you sever a major vein and blood spurts all over you, the crippled wolf tries running away.

You maintain a Martial Trance! It protects you from pain during this battle!

Evaluated Wounds
 - LOTS of large scraches over your body (Heavy bleeding, no pain)
 - Wolf bite on left arm (with wolf still attached! no bleeding, no pain)

The bright glowing thing in the sky is above you, you are getting hungry again...

What shall you do next?

i'm quite suprized at how serious people are taking this  ;D, nobody is trying to cast magic  8) or cause planet-wide mayhem by punching everything in the nose to assume dominance...  :P

I'd be intrested, the Dungeon Fortress would have to be very expansive, because A) to keep outta the caverns every place, and B) so that every other room isn't a bedroom...

Drop the spear and take out the axe. Lay about you with it until they leave or die.
Lay about you?

Level spear and them, hold your ground.
You do just that, the beasts look ready to jump

but do it menacingly.
You strike a what-you-hope-is-a-menacing pose...

The wolves pounce, your braced spear took one in the heart. But the other two are on you clawing at every part of you...

You go into a Martial Trance! It protects you from pain during this battle!

Hunt again.
What an incredibly crude command... but you set out in search of the tasty rabbit den.
You find it, but there arent any rabbits, only half-piked ones, there are blood trails everywhere.
You hear some growls and look up, there are three grey beasts about half your size, they are bareing their teeth at you, you bare your teeth at them, and they growl some more.
