Technically yesterday, but I pulled out my 3 tubs of Lego from the basement last night, our oldest is finally ready to pass the mantle down to. I proceeded to spend the next half hour just running my hand through the bucket, picking out half finished constructions and old toys that found their way in the bucket and bathing in waves of childhood memories and nostalgia. It was a lovely experience.

My mum and I would play through that game on a daily basis. I'd get home from half-day kinder, my bro would go down for his nap, and we'd trounce 3 in a few hours. Best childhood memories ever.

Making Fried Tuna Patties (recipe usually calls for Salmon, but when life hands you tunafish...)
Basically just flaked tuna mixed with cornmeal, flour, egg, and mayo, pan fried.
So good.

Sorry, I have some buried religion issues. I'll cease this line of whateveritis.

I'm unsure why the vague label of sport creates such argument. "This is a sport, this isn't a sport" does it really matter? It was a thing, that was broadcast, that people enjoyed watching.
And, I would say DOTA occurred first in this case because it was a rather large event, with a significant prize pool, and a large professional scene lending it credibility.

Obviously he's just testing us, as a loving parent tortures and kills their children's pets in front of them to help them grow in to better people.

Right?

Geez, that's really rough. So much cancer and cancer related diseases floating around these days. Best of luck to you and yours!

That's a rather excessive amount of sad there. I hope things start looking up soon!
Am I misreading it/missing something, or is your dad suffering from some sort of dementia? We went through that with my grandmother about a year ago and I know how rough that can be. Watching my mum burn herself out supporting her was probably the hardest part. Though listening to my grandmother ask how my grandfather was doing was right up there. Keep strong and you'll persevere though!

Ok, so I took five minutes to google, and discovered that the US doesn't require employers grant any vacation time or even holidays. That's really messed up. Up here you generally are required 2 weeks I'm pretty sure (or you can have it paid out if you're part time, or some other situations). Where I work, the unions negotiated a minimum 3 weeks paid vacation a year. And if an employer requires you work any of the major holidays, you get a nice sum of cash paid out on top of your normal pay (either 1.5x or 2.0x normal wage).
My new happy for the day is that I don't live in the US.

My vacation is coming up in 4 more days! I really need this 2 weeks off, my brain is mushifying from work.

You're either incredibly lucky, or don't live in the U.S.

How so? And no, I'm a hat.

Well, I'm not saying it makes SENSE, just explaining their point. Even when I was practicing Catholic I thought the people who took the bible literally were nutters, my priest agreed.

Did you accidentally fall asleep in a military barracks? And wake up in the midst of boot-camp? You should probably double check.

God just didn't account for evolution to happen after he created life in Earth.

Aliens will be salvationable after the next hotfix.

I just don't honestly see where evolution contradicts creationism. It isn't like evolution didn't happen within the context of the bible itself... like in Genesis.

The issue is that, if you take Genesis literally, God personally sculpted man in his own image, and breathed life in to him. So Creationists take personal offense to Evolution because it removes this direct influence of God. Also, according to the bible, only humans have souls. So no, aliens wouldn't go to hell, any more than dogs/cats/cows/anything else goes to hell. Aliens wouldn't have souls, so it's a non issue.
