On used cars: I've sold a used car before, it is an awful process full of awful people. Next time I'm just selling it to a dealership, screw the lost money.

As for my WTF moment. This is actually about a week old, but just after the Malaysia Air flight was shot down, our Prime Minister vowed that Canada would do everything in it's power to help figure out why the plane crashed... This was a day after everyone was talking about how it was shot down with an AA missile...

My printing is barely legible as is by anyone but myself, even I can't read my own cursive... (my mother used to joke I'd make a perfect doctor). My cursive looks like someone attacked a sheet of paper with a broken spirograph.

So, I'm running a campaign for my friends via Roll20. My next session is tomorrow and I want to creep up one encounter. Does anyone know a good, free program to add effects to your voice for live streaming, we're playing via skype voice chat if that matters. I want to make my voice all ghostly for one encounter.

Doesn't windows have the ability to compress and decompress files built in?

Sometimes I question why black hat guy appears to have friends.  Or at least people who hang around him yet aren't aware that he's a sociopath.

I don't know about you, but I try to keep a few psycho friends around to keep life interesting (I am on these boards, am I not?).

My WTF: I don't feel like I'm 18, an adult now... I still feel like I'm 14 and just starting my teenagerhood. O_o
I'm 30, and most days I still don't feel like an adult.

I have to agree with this, I'm 27 and a father of 3, yet I'm still pretty sure I'm just pretending to be an adult, and when dealing with adult things, I'm just waiting for them to call me out for pretending...

I've been here over 4 years now apparently, and I feel like I've barely made an impact on the community. Huh. I guess that's my fault for semi-lurking all the time.

I think organic is a nice idea, a beautiful idea, and a waste of money. With the lax controls on what even constitues as organic, it's more an excuse to ramp up prices on good. The only way to guarntee it is if you personally know the farm your food is comming from. So if you can shop all local and all that, that's amazing. For most of us, it's unrealistic.

My suggestion? Start drinking coffee/tea black. The trick is to splurge a bit and buy higher quality coffees. The only coffee I drink milk/cream in nowadays is Tim Hortons and the stuff they serve in my cafeteria at work. The former because it's laced with crack, and the latter because the Caf coffee left black is so rancid you could strip paint with it. And not as in strong, it's just plain awful. But it's free, so I push on.

It's not just for pedestrians, it's for other vehicles too. Believe it or not, a car with no running lights on (basically at least here all cars need at least running lights, which are just dimmer headlights) can be really difficult to see even in broad daylight, especially with sun and other factors in.

On a terrifying note, I'm not even 30 yet and this forum is starting to make me feel old.

I shaved and I look like crap. But when I don't shave, my beard look like crap, weak, wimpy and with a couple baldish patch.

Have you attempted to shape your beard? Find a design that gets rid of the bald patches, and trim the rest fairly short. It's what I used to do in college when I wore my facial hair.

Well, seeing as this is a culinary and not agriculture thread, I think it's safe to refere to tomatos here as a vegitable, since cooking wise they are defined as such.

Can you even get a cell phone plan without unlimited incoming texts these days though?

In Canada? Yeah.

Because of severe monopoly issues Canada is WAAAAAAAAAY behind the USA when it comes to internet and phone usage and laws.

Netflicks called Canada a third world country when it came to their Internet usage.

Some places in the USA have outright unlimited and free internet outright... Canada will never have that.

Ah, well, I was poking around bell and rogers' websites the other day, looked to me like all their plans had unlimited texts at the minimum. maybe some of the pay as you go guys?

I've worked both fast food and retail. I'll definitely say I found retail a step up from fast food. At the same time, they both opened future options for me. One of my favourite years of work was when I got a job in an actual restaurant kitchen, it was fun, hectic and fulfilling, and I got it purely off my McDonald's experience.
