ROXY FOR MAIN CHARACTER 2012
FREE BOOZE FOR EVERYONE!!! *wonk

Meaning, she WILL get the full support of B12.  Because dorfs.

Nick Cage is the new anti-(internet)-troll weapon.

Are skills passed on to zombies? If so, you could use a danger room to make legendary dodger replicating zombie werebeasts.
I don't know. Don't think zombies can learn, they lack [INTELLIGENCE].
I think Urban Giraffe was wondering if you could train a dorf or something else up to legendary dodger, get it made into a werebeast, and then killed and raised as a zombie.  That is, if skills of the creature are retained by the zombie.

UU: it was an heirloom, yoU coUld say. passed on from ancestors. i have always had it.

I wonder if the Fluorite Octet and Ahab's Crosshairs are jUjUs. That was the first thing that came to my mind when I read that line.

You know, that makes sense, and it would also make Lil' Cal and the bunny JuJus as well...

Also, sorry if this has been mentioned, but from what I can see in my game, platinum is a 100% drop.
Can anyone confirm this?

This could be luck, but here are the last two platinum clusters I've mined out in my current fort as of this point:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

There's a nugget or two missing from each one, but they weren't that recent and I've been refining platinum fairly heavily. I'll look for some other clusters and see if I'm just being weirdly lucky with the drops; I'm sure I remember them all dropping when they were mined, because I remember thinking "oh good, at least platinum still drops well". Someone needs to crack open Reveal and do some !!Science!!.
Easy enough.  Let's say you got 8 out of 10 platinum. So P^ = .8

H0: p=.25  Ha: p>.25

There actually is significant evidence that it might not be a coincidence.  More research must be done.

EDIT:
The exact numbers would be very helpful.  It would make a huge difference if it was 7/10, for instance.

I'm glad I was not the only one tempted to do this.  Though wouldn't it be a z-test, because we're dealing with proportions? (Just took my AP Stats test last week!  8))

And anyway, I have mixed feelings on the change.  I like the increased ease of making blocks, as it requires only 1/4 the hauling to the workshop to produce 4 blocks.  On the other hand, you do have a chance of being screwed by the RNG on ores with very little present on the map, because you won't be mining anywhere near the amounts necessary for the law of large numbers to apply.

Cat bone bed, made with three cat bones. Just how fucking small is goddamn bed, Urist?
It focuses the raw energies of the terror that is a cat into one comfortable and pleasant sleeping experience, if a little plagued by eldritch monstrosities.
Cats are squiddles?

I will never look at them the same way again...

Homestuck on tumblr is slowly being taken over by porn. Pretty much half of the Aradia tag is "artsy" nude pics. Tumblr ruins everything I love.
Tumbler wasn't taken over by porn.
The porn was already there.

Dangit Lord English, you ruin everything!
Wrong! He already ruined everything!
Including this thread, because the bad jokes are already here!

Of course, that's only if you consider bad jokes to be ruining something.

We get to giggle about how if they thought THAT was epic, just wait till the next flash. Basically.
We also get to relive our own reactions as they trudge on through the story.  If I have one honest wish, it would be being able to read Homestuck (and a million other stories, by the way) for the first time again, and know what it was like to be excited instead of jaded.
You also want to see what other peoples react to what you reacted to. Its one of the reasons why I occassionally go and try and read this thread all the way through. Its honestly fun.
I tried that too, reading through the thread as I reread through homestuck...then I reached around page 1000 and realized that there were another 1200 to go...

Hmm... I wonder if a flash of Jack escaping/and or getting beaten by 20 guards with truncheons is coming.  There's hasn't been an update yet, and the rate of updates with this Jack!Jail arc has been pretty fast...

175
Update!

The Droll is now the sharpest tool in the shed for the first time ever!

Of course, it is by default...

No wonder we don't have any concerts in this thread!  The acoustics are horrible!  Just listen to that echo!

And as a counter to the heavy-metalness of this thread:
Heavy-metal inspired bass clarinet quartet
And some nice contemporary orchestral music.
Movements I and II
III and IV
It's got some really nice bass clarinet parts (which is why it was really the only reason I was in Region Orchestra.  I wouldn't consider playing the upbeats for 1/4 of the song and the downbeats for another quarter in Sabre Dance really playing...)

I should have a few more recordings to drop here once I get the CDs from State Concert Band.  We played some really great pieces there.

Outlandish Theory Number 413:

For some reason related to being in a Void Session, their SBURB overlaps with the furthest ring, and its dream-bubbles. What we're seeing is an Alternate Universe Gamzee who reached God Tier, via a dream bubble. This overlap with the furthest ring is also how the scratched session is able to reach this session.

Except his eyes.  They aren't white voids, so whatever and however he got there, he is not dead.

What? I missed a heated argument about swords?
I wish I been there, just to say.. I like Katanas. *runs and hides*
Hey, so do I.  Though it is mainly based on being a martial artist, and training with it, as opposed to any merits of the swords design itself.  A weapon you can handle and have trained to fight with is always better than a weapon you have no idea how to use.

Therefore, making fluffy wamblers the most dangerous and accessible weapon of all, as pretty much everybody knows how to throw stuff.
