And Hussie is definitely trolling the Vriska Quarantine.

I told you motherfuckers.

She will be my wife.

Posted in the Vriska Quarantine.

Similarly, the end-of-intermission flash plays off fandom memes about him marrying Vriska, and having her seem pretty uninterested in the idea.

He is quite likely also trolling the regulars of the Vriska Quarantine thread (now averaging 100 pages per every couple of weeks) who have been wanting Vriska to be revived/brought back into the plot/have her interaction with Dream John resolved since, well, since she died.  Aka, like 6 or 7 Vriska Quarantine threads ago.  And so, he brings her back, in a non-plot relevant/non-revival way.

Now, if only I could find that maximum trolling .gif...

And now for a completely random, Homestuck related tangent.  And by Homestuck related, I mean how much Homestuck or its fandom has affected entirely different things.  Somebody on the xkcd forums pointed out this and this.

I am not sure what to make of either the fact that the batterwitch has her own forums, or the fact that Homestuck has not pervaded it more than this, like it has this video (rated Troll NSFW for excessive buckets).

She did say she was going to kill him. Probably as vengeance for wrecking the troll session, back when she still cared about that. And kill John she did, by persuading him to sequence break to the Denizen.

Possibly also due to her ability to see alternate futures - she may have known doing that would cause a doomed timeline that would set the current timeline on its correct course. (For one thing, by causing Davesprite instead of Calsprite.)

On a completely unrelated note, I'm waiting for the point where Kanaya realizes that she can just use Trollian to observe her earlier self, back when she was keeping the Mother Grub in her sylladex, and get the alchemiter code off the back of the card to make another one.

Didn't she say that she already had a code, but that the Mother Grub was ludicrously expensive to make?

And did you happen to forget that John and Jade are bringing two entire planets that can be farmed for Grist? :P

And also, remember that nifty little device that Jane has that converts boondollars into grist?  And the ludicrous amount of cash Dave sent Terezi?

That would make a pretty ludicrous amount of grist.

Kanaya is being tempted to meddle in a blossoming kismesistude.  Is that a word?  Oh well, it is now.

Karkat is the best character. The best. And I don't think even the puppets caused Dave this much pure anguish. It's hilarious watching him squirm like this.

The interesting bit is where Hussie is totally foreshadowing Kanaya getting with Terezi, or something like that. The point is that the fourth party is going to be 100% a factor here.

Actually, wait. Terezi is hooking up with Dave in this whacked out situation. That makes TEREZI the male troll in that picture, which means... KARKAT/KANAYA SHIP IS OFFICIALLY LAUNCHING.

Or, the book was an elaborate ruse to woo Rose, and the Karkat/Kanaya is in fact the Karkat/Rose!

What did I just say...
HUUUUSSIIIIEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
You have made a shipper of me!!!!!!!!
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

And note that Jane's entry item was the tree - what did she actually need to even do to it?

John's was actually the apple.

I'm not sure we know enough to be sure she didn't do... whatever she needed to do.
I think that a prototyping might be required for the entry item to be created.  If we look at both John's and Jade's items, the tree had no role but to sprout the actual entry item, the apple and pinata respectively.

The disappearance of her house seemed weird though.  Perhaps the game has fail safes to give a player that has successfully created their entry item, but did not prototype a chance to correct that mistake?

EDIT: It seems that I've been proved wrong already.  I guess that's what happens when I am too impatient to just read the rest of the page before posting...

I think it could be Gamzee's pre-scratch ancestor. We have UU, who talks in lowercase and is rather polite, and then we have uu, who talks in upper case (except for u's) and is rather rude. The twist Hussie is building up to will be the reveal that they are actually THE SAME PERSON.

DUN DUN DUN.

I think you may be onto something.  Compare UU's horns to the Grand Highblood's.  It's not identical, but it's the closest match to any of the trolls we've seen.

It isn't critical that Dave stay in his god tier uniform. He can change out of it, you know.

It seems to be more of a "Can he get that tight hood off of his head, or is it stuck?" than it is a "Does he need to keep the uniform on?" situation.

Wow. I'm rather surprised...

All of the turtles were harmed in the making of this comic.
That...is the same exact thing I thought when I saw Cerol's post... to the letter.

Being a sax player for the past 9 years, I'd say saxophone.  I'd recommend starting on alto sax (though if you ever plan on learning clarinet as well, it is recommend to start on clarinet then learn sax).

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: My New Embark has 13k+ Candy (Spoilers)

It is strange, in my savegame I removed all [aquifer] tags, and still there are damp walls.
A view with reveal showed the sand still contains an aquifer.
Any ideas?
If I'm not mistaken, removing aquifers after embarking won't help you. Your best bet would be to re-extract the save, remove aquifers (make sure you're removing them from the save file's RAWs, not the main ones, otherwise it'll require a full regen and I can't guarantee that it'll gen the same after such a modification), then re-embark.
From my experience, if you regen with the aquifer tags removed from the main RAWs, the world will still gen exactly the same, minus aquifers.

We've screwed stuff up via unintended consequences of our technology. Trying to use large scale,  experimental terraforming/geo-engineering involving release of large amounts of foreign particles into the atmosphere to mimic a large scale volcanic eruption sounds like a good idea, really?

I'd like to see serious research on the side effects of such a release. Environmental impact, crop yields, etc. From the Guardian article it cited, it seems there is already some serious opposition from environmental groups and other watch groups.

On the other hand... I now think I need to build a large balloon shaped structure with a magma stack, to release pressurized magma aerosol into the atmosphere in order to "geo-engineer" a hellish fire-scape to reduce the effects of Dark Fortress emissions.

Especially since sulfates tend to end up as sulfuric acid really easily when they run into water and dissolve into it.  You'd think they'd realize that sulfuric acid + water in the upper atmosphere = acid rain.
