Tilesets and Graphics / [0.40.24v00] Phoebus' Graphic Set

* Remember to update your savegames & inits *
After updating the game, run DF_savegame_updater.bat to update your savegames, run DF_phoebus_init_updater.bat to update your inits, then play the game.
Note: .NET Framework v4 is required to run the Tileset Assembler utility, so you should try installing that if you can't get the util to run.

Installation:

1. Unzip the 'Pre-Installed Package' where you want the game to be installed, or unzip the Graphic Set Package over your current installation.

2. Run DF_Phoebus_Init_Updater.bat to update your inits.

3. (Optional) Run DF_Savegame_Updater.bat (or DF_savegame_updater.sh on Linux) to update your savegames.

4. (Optional) Run PhoebusTilesetAssembler.exe to customize your tileset.

5. Strike the Earth!

Sand wall tiles are now much brighter and their pattern is slightly easier to tell apart from sand floors.
Doren's creature tiles now have a background.
The ";" tile has been stolen from Ironhand. (jez9999 made me do it!)
The gem wall symbols association has been redistributed. Tier 1 for gems worth 2-3, T2 for 10-15, T3 for 20-30, T4 for 40-60.
The crow man graphics has been fixed. (Thanks Meph.)
Square 3D walls engravings have been fixed.
The default tileset now has meld embossed walls and flat grass.

DF 0.34.05+ raws are not compatible with DF 0.34.04 or earlier worlds
If you want to use your old savegames with DF 0.34.05+, download body_rcp_eyelids.txt, update your savegame's raws then copy the file in your savegame's object folder located at "/data/save/regionX/raw/objects/".
If you can't or don't want to copy that file, not updating the raws will allow you to use the game, but without many of the improvements from the latest version.

DF Modding / Searching for the raw graphic tag for dead creatures

It seems dead creatures are not using their default graphical tile and are defaulting to their ASCII representation.

Anyone knows which tags to use to assign a tile to the dead state of a creature?
[STANDARD:GOBLINS:1:0:AS_IS:DEFAULT]

Anyone has a list of all the new creatures added to DF v0.31.01 (2010)?

3. (Optional) Delete your old /data/init/init.txt and rename the init.phoebus.txt to init.txt.

The default font is now Phosasam (a modified version of Bisasam's font with rescaled Phssthpok's numbers.)
I changed the stone layers' symbols.
I changed the masterpiece/rough gem/web symbol.
I fixed the Black Bear Bug.
I fixed the Granite color problem (it's now dark grey/dark grey instead of light grey/black.)
I dropped the solid tileset style (till the merge.)

Fixed Guybrush's 'O' engraving transparency color. (Thanks LucasUP)
Reduced the intensity of the liquid/sand tile.
Brightened the background texture of underground mushroom tiles a bit.
I 'improved' the solid layer tiles a little bit. They should be easier to tell apart from ground tiles now.

The default tileset now uses the old dithering style for stone tiles. The new graphic style is still available as Phoebus_16x16_Solid.bmp and  Phoebus_16x16_Guybrush_Solid.bmp .
The "Dwarf Fortress Savegame RAW Updater" batch utility has been added to both full packages. Run df_savegame_updater.bat to use it.
A Unit Pack with fully transparent background has been added to the list of download.

Changed the stone, sand and soil layers from symbols to fully graphic tiles. (No more dithering)
Unit graphic tiles now have a solid background color with a transparent outline around the unit.
Reduced the ground dithering by 50%.
Added new shrub and sprout tiles for underground plants.
Redesigned and added transparency to Doors and Hatches.
Reforged the river/road tiles.
Added Sphr's warthogs to the unit set.
Bugfixes:
Restored obsidian to it's default color.
Fixed the elf unit graphics.
Fixed the camel unit graphics. (Removed Sphr's camel unit graphics.)
