What was it President Obama said? When Trump succeeds, America succeeds?

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/11/16/the-gop-s-anti-lgbt-anti-women-religious-freedom-law-on-steroids.html

Quote
wedding cake bakers who say that if they bake a cake, they’re violating their religion; Kim Davis, the government clerk who said that signing a secular marriage certificate was a religious act that she could not perform.

to be fair, I think case 1 is legit (private shop owner should be able to refuse service for whatever reason) while it's case 2 which is worrisome: government employers should not discriminate, whatever they religion, because their employer (the government) is a non religious entity.

That's the finance of local government. Also only regards illegal immigration. Papers on the effect on people's income tends to agree that immigrants raise income, although some papers finds that some categories of citizens are negatively affected even if the average goes up, while some finds that everyone benefits.

of course the problems are illegals, legals both are subject to minimum wage so can't compete as effectively and pay the due taxes.

#1 On one side the argument is "what's in the best economic interests of the people involved. how will enforcing or changing the rules affect real peoples' livelihoods"

#2 On the other hand we have "rules are important and there are forms and paperwork which are supposed to be filled out"

#2 is claiming "moral superiority".

As someone on the receiving end of immigrant discrimination, I know very well which side I'm in thank you.

Managing the immigrant flux *is* the best economic interest. But people involved needs not to apply to everyone evermore, or you get into the situation where immigrants are forever exploited, even the one coming legally, to the detriment of the people already residing which have ultimately to pay the burden. You can switch the issue around as much as you like, but welfare management, economic interests and people well being are all interrelated.

Dude, it would be worse for them if they didn't have the below-minimum-wage jobs. They would have even less money if they worked back in Mexico. You can't paint this as a clearly my-side-is-moral-yours-is-unethical kind of thing.

A) cost of living in mexico is quite lower
B) I don't see why poor of one country are a problem to another country

Refugees? I'm fine with that. Economic migrants? Get a visa and play by the rule like everyone else.

the moment you establish legality can be bent for special cases, a country comes apart (and you saw it quite clearly in this election cycle, so I don't know why there's more proof needed)

What would be left is those farms closing, with all the farms going to Mexico where the wages are below what they're even paying illegal immigrants to the USA

and why is that bad?

for one it's the worst immoral form of subsidizing allowing the use of illegal immigrants paid below minimum wage, then again business getting used to any kind of subsidy never grown profitable, and even more those money/sunk costs do comes from somewhere else (usually the middle class that has not enough money for tax 'dodging' but enough to have all welfare denied)

and since you want to grow the profitable middle class, not the low margin farming, this basically goes anachronistically against anything that makes sense for a state to grow. see also: Republic of Ireland (not just the tax dodging, but for an example of a thriving middle class pumping the economy growth of all sectors).

Dr.Bullwinkle is a modder who gave me my answer: Emergency Ejection mod. It will dump you out of your ship if it gets to 5% health, with faster boosters and a slightly stronger repair laser.

This one little mod made the game for me, as instead of just sighing and reloading, I instead call one of my backup ships to pick me up and bring me to my fortified system. Or i just scream like a little girl and fly to the nearest gate.

With this sort of EVE loss model, it makes sense to keep a flow of money to replace losses in the fights against the Xenon and Khaak. And I consider these to be my reason for factory building and the real endgame; clearing out the Xenon sectors is just fucking war. They will slam your incoming fleets hard and you need the cash and equipment to rebuild losses. Once you have the player headquarters you then have all you need to make fleets and that is a massive resource sink, unless you build Xenon M6's and lower, cuz those are dirt cheap compared to the regular races ships.

which X are you talking here?

I agree with the ion meta. missiles are super effective to destroy blocks anyway, so shield punching is your main concern. apart from that, all weapons do about the same damage/block/power, the real difference is in damage profile. beam being hit scan are my favorite, with cannon relegated to missile point defense role.

Yeah, that's the problem. It's... Honestly not likely. Especially in the short term. However, that doesn't mean (as LoSboccacc says) that people are only whining about it now that they lost.

yeah that was the point. they weren't in the streets protesting when Obama won, weren't they? That's pretty much the definition of hypocrisy.

Trump  On whether he still believes the US electoral process is rigged and that the electoral college is problematic: “I’m not going to change my mind just because I won.” - compare with the lefties, which are complaining only now that they lost.

I'm suspicious of him as everyone else  (even if I rooted for anything but Hillary, because she would had internet localized, privatized and ultimately destroyed)  but the prospects aren't that bad.

that's probably part of the problem, you're not really looking to root the problem, only to circlejerk about it.

If you don't want to help then don't comment.

so basically what you saying here is, anybody can talk as long as it conform strictly to your ideas, objectives, methods and goals?

Yeah, I have the the feeling like they'll make the project with or without a successful kickstarter, but they should have definitely set a lower target. Even if it was a 50 or 75k original target, they could have expanded it a lot with stretch goals, and that probably would have built a lot more momentum.

Right now you look at it and see it's not even a third of the way there and get disheartened.

yup this is generally good strategy, you budget half and then make up the other half with presales/early access during development - the point is when you have a demo people will be more interested, and will even pay more for it.

Hm. I'm having a lot of trouble planning my ship out. Any advice? Do you guys follow a certain routine when you build? Planning?

I do deck space first, then fill up with stuff, then a rough hull exterior, then smooth/shape the exterior with armor, because I can't plan so I like to just fix it after it's functional

so this is how you're reacting to basically a non issue. hope watching in a mirror could help.
