They changed resupply (ammo box + ammo sundy) xp so that it now, when you hit the XP cap, it only takes 1 minute for you to start getting XP again instead of 3.

Pretty nice for a helpful engy player, like that change - but I wonder why the cap is even there. The cert flow is just so slow, if you wanted to exploit it for free certs you'd basically need to have two people scripted to drop ammo and reload the gun over and over all night. You'd think that'd be veeeerry easy to find and punish.

To be fair, a lot of them are really bad. Stuff like "put in two hours of work for a month, get a t5 prem. If you miss more than two days your prize is void". We also have next to no contests. For comparison, EU has had 15 contests this year, while NA has had 0. Plus all the shit that comes with being the smallest of the three major servers (sorry sea). Its true though, we do get better specials generally, although that has really slowed down as of late. I'd take actual contests over most of our "better" specials, though.

I've been playing with my engi lately, mostly with the Warden. You know... this thing isn't anything special at range, any of the longer range automatic weapons are better. But for whatever reason, when I get into CQC and start hipfiring the thing all over people, it farms K:D. Went on several 10+ kill rampages against heavies etc with it. Reminds me of a shotgun with slugs.

I still dont think the Warden is very good, but it's funny to mow down multiple heavies in knife range with a battle rifle.

Sometimes shots lock up and all register at once, particularly if the other player was lagging. Coulda been what happened.

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE A MOCKUP

I just bought the PPA for my Harasser. Very first spawn, 1/3, no driver... parked it outside a base. 46 kills later, some LA finally got sick of me and blew me up. Let's see your Canister do that. :P

I knew it was easy, but I never imagined it was that easy...

Had the same thing happen on my first PPA experience. Granted, the clip size was nerfed since then - but that hardly touches what makes it so ridiculous. The PPA blows away every other ESAI weapon so hard that you can't even compare them without feeling sorry for the others.

Bleh, unarmed combat. If we ignore the early/mid game, yeah, it's technically great later on, but half the reason you'd pick it over a weapon is because with unarmed combat you have your endgame weapon at gamestart. It's technically more reliable. For that reliability, you give away weapon enchantment and whatever egos you might be able to get on a real weapon. You also suffer (small) penalties for both wearing heavy armor and using shields.

If I recall correctly, maxed out unarmed combat deals sliiightly more damage in a given timeframe than using a maxed out 2-hander. However, a 2-hander with any brand does slightly better, and a well enchanted 2-hander with any brand exceeds UC by a large margin. It's very rare not to be able to have one of these by lategame, so I don't feel taking these penalties for reliability is worth it.

As a matter of fact that's what I used while I still had them in a corridor. *miss* *miss* *miss* *miss* I also tried a Lightning but that had about the same effect.

You must be thinking of a wand of fire, not a wand of fireball. Fireball can't be dodged, it'll never miss. That's basically why they are so good against bees.

Yeah, that sucks. If they were next to the upstairs, read a teleport scroll before going down. Prepare to read another if it puts you in a bad situation. If they were next to the downstairs, you can yell by hitting t twice. That'll get them to come to you. Lead them away, then teleport and go around. If the game didn't give you teleport or blink... well, gg.

Play a Minotaur Berserker, berserk everything that looks dangerous. Gnoll packs, D:2 adders, etc. Only things you need to watch out about are massive things like goliath beetles and things that can confuse you mid-zerk like orc mages and sigmund. Use Trog's Hand if you don't want to get confused. Berserk's food cost is irrelevant, as long as you make sure the post-berserk slow doesn't harm you, it's basically costless. You can charge into almost anything, but be really careful of orc packs - orc priests rip apart anyone. Its hard NOT to get past D5 doing this.

Later on you'll really need to stop doing this if you want to be successful, but all you want is to get to Lair, this'll do it.

So before this thread dies off until the tourny is over, what do you guys think of agility? Like, the potion. It's one of those things I never bother to use outside of those "well lets turn on all my buffs for this guy" situations. Is it any good?

Thats really unfortunate. Seems to happen to people on the west coast - are you in that direction? I get really bad packet loss too, but I can blame my ISP for that one.

Dems a nice spreadsheet, listed a lot of stuff the wiki didn't, like the Razor has a different recoil pattern and features recoil "angle", something the Merc doesn't. Could someone explain to me what recoil angle is, and whether having 0 instead of 12 is a big deal?

Also the T6 KV-1S will recieve a 100mm gun, which, if preliminary supertest stats are anything to go by will be even more broken than the 122mm is now. It'll have 170 pen and about 8 RoF with 250 damage per shot, giving it stupidly high DPM, making it much better than any of its peers.

Ehhh. First off, that cannon is almost identical to the M6's 90mm. 10 more pen, 10 more damage, slower aimtime and much worse APCR. That's not gamebreaking. Secondly, the tank now has -3 gun depression (that is disgustingly bad), lost a lot of its speed (43 top speed -> 34 top speed, lost .7 hp/ton), loses more of its accuracy when moving around, and lost some of its frontal armor. It won't be nearly as good as it was.
