Ah crud. could be to late to enter but I'll throw my hat in the ring. . . or sling my pick.

RUMplee skillsin,Dwarf
2 steel picks at 96 pts
prof dodger
skilled axdwarf
and leather greaves
You are too late, and msc. weapon user is what boosts pick damage.

But as there's still some invalid characters, if one of them doesn't get corrected soon I think Eradacater should  just take their places  :-\

Or Badfuzzy could just correct them if he feels that's more fair ( it might be ).

Graverobber!

Hey, will you resurrect me while you're there? kthks.

You should've just borrowed it to me while you were alive ( well, if you hadn't been stuck in that bush for so long )

Sure, I'll just use the Max Revive my Scyther is carrying for me.

Hehe I spent a while trying to get out of that damn bush. Besides, I don't think you even had the quest till I was dead.

Yeah, you're probably right. But still!

273
I'm pretty sure I was actually using a steel crossbow while testing. Haven't tried steel bows though  ???

274
Wait a minute, Paranatural was the one who had the gameswitch, right?

And my objective is to get one, right?

And if I just take his gameswitch that still counts, right?

...So now I have to go there instead.
Fly my Scyther to Paranatural's body (NE) and pick up his gameswitch.

If his gameswitch doesn't count, though, I'll just go into the fortress.

Ive just checked and I cannot seem to find a steel bow.
Perhpas I could have an oaken bow. With steel ammo. (for the same price of course)

I have a steel crossbow  8)

You can't find it in the arena, or in the price list? ( it's 104 points by the way )

Well aren't you a Quick Thinker. How many rounds did that take?

I forgot I had an objective  ::)

Mine is clean too.

You're probably talking about
...I'll dare to do this, then.
Kobold, bronze battle axe, bronze breastplate and leggings, bronze helm, bronze gauntlets, Grand master dodging, proficient armor user, competent axekobold, novice striker. If I didn't screw anything up, four points left.

,right?

279
I did a bit of testing with mine, and ended up getting slaughtered. Only fight I 'won' was against the gremlin archer, and I bled to death shortly afterwards. I probably should make another character in order to have at least a chance, but I think I'll save that for another tournament.
...Well that proves nothing  >:(

Don't worry, I'll fully heal you at the end of every turn to make sure you don't die, ok?  :D

Combine Seed Burst and Gentle Direction ( to figure out what they do, you see ) and cast the spell away from everyone else

Roll To Dodge / Re: Roll To Die, die to win!

Grab pointed metal thing from guards wreckage, see that it is vastly better than mine. Slice off mine and replace it with the guards pointed metal thing. (I'm talking about my hand silly.)
Result: 5
You cut off your "hand". It hurts a little.
-1 health
Now, normally, you could bleed to death from doing these things. But thankfully, that doesn't happen here. You glue the guards pointed metal thing in the place where your "hand" used to be.

It is indeed vastly superior. For one, it is pointed, which means stabbing people with it is now far more likely to be lethal. And it also has this feature that makes it shoot laserbeams at anyone who attacks you. Apparently, the guard had forgotten to turn it on.

So close...and the roof falls on me. A disaster of this magnitude has to be somebody's fault! I go to the police station to complain about this! With my fists!
Result: 6
You magically shrug off your injuries ( and the debris you were buried under ) and walk over to the police station. Inside, you decide that the desk they have is probably the best place for you to start complaining. But before you can get there, a guard walks up to you. He asks you: "What happened to you?"

As if they don't know already. They were probably in on it. You decide that this is a good a place to complain as any. Your punch sends him flying through the air and he crashes into one of the walls. The building starts shaking. It's obviously just as poorly constructed as the museum was. You grab one of the other guards and swing him into a second wall.

More guards arrive as the building starts crumbling down. You decide now would be a good time to get out of there, so you punch another hole in the wall next to you.
Dodge roll ( the first one in the entire RTD ): 2

You fall to the ground as you get hit by debris for the second time today.
-2 health
At least you're getting pretty good at this whole wrecking thing.

climb up and fly off! zoom, swish, i'm master man!
Result: 6
You climb up to the roof. From here you have a beautiful view of the city, not that you care of course. The only thing you care about is climbing up building and then jumping down them again.

You walk to the edge of the roof, take a deep breath and dive down. There's an instant where you're afraid you are going to fall to your death, but then you spread yours...wings? Yes, apparently you wanted to fly so bad, that you actually grew wings! Amazing!

Either way, you fly around for a bit, then land again on the square where you started, right in front of the now collapsed police station.
Effect gained: Wings ( has wings and can fly )

Eat a sea anemone or similar organism.
Result: 4
You eat a sea anemone. It's actually pretty disgusting. ( Sorry your rolls are so boring  :-\ )

Try to replace my legs with my arms. The corpse of the cop should yield enough bits for that easy self surgery. If i still have time i try to replace my brain with my heart.

If possible i also cut myself with my special ability.

Result: 2
You grab a sharp piece of metal from the corpse and start cutting off your arms.
-4 health
After you've cut off one arm, you stick the piece of metal in your mouth and start using it to cut off your other arm. It takes a while, but eventually you succeed. Now you move on to your legs...

but you can't reach them. Maybe if you had taken those yoga lessons, you wouldn't be having this problem right now. Either way, you're now lying on the floor, with no arms. You try to get back up, but you can't.

And no, you can't cut yourself. You have no arms!

Freezing rune on chainmail!
Magic roll: 1
You draw a pretty picture of a glacier on your chainmail, but utterly fail to channel any kind of magic whatsoever. Oh, and your picture is actually pretty ugly, too.

New: Deity of Impatience

this thread is very popular. you should let more people play  :D

I think I'll give the people in the waiting list a chance to influence the game somewhat, instead of just adding in another slot. Mostly because doing 7 rolls wouldn't be as interesting  :-\

So, I created the Deity of Impatience. There are 5 types of actions he starts with:
Weather
Elemental Spells
Mental
Monsters
Laws of Nature

In the first turn, you can't actually pick the result, it's randomly generated. But you can build on that first action in the second turn, where you can do things like combining two of the actions you had in the previous turn, or making the effect of an action stronger.

The first 4 people from the waiting list to post decide which of these types of actions happens where ( so, you post one type and one location ). For this first turn, you can't use a location that's already been used ( which makes 3 out of 5 of these almost useless, as there's nobody there now ). You can in the next turn, though.

I'll go first, though, because there's 5 this time and I want you to get used to there being 4 :P But mostly because I don't want you messing up the laws of nature in the city, though.

So: Laws of Nature, Mountains.

I'll roll for what kind of action each type gets next turn, but even if it is in an area where nobody currently is, you can still build on that action later, and use it in a different area, so it's good to have anyways.

I'm pretty sure that the larger creature will always attempt to charge the smaller one, I think that's just how DF combat AI works.

People that made little dudes need to keep this in mind. If they can't dodge/counterstrike on the charge, they are gonna keep getting rammed into until they die. Dodging seems to be the most improtant skill in size mismatch fights.

Yeah, when I was testing my kobold he kept getting rammed ( he had adept dodging, but it didn't help him a lot ) and then when he fell, he died. So, I decided that if I make a gremlin, and give him a bow, his size won't really matter, because if they get close enough to hit him he's dead anyways.

...I'm basically relying on my first two shots to be either lethal or debilitating. It sounds like a bad idea, but whatever, I'll see how it goes in the actual tournament.

284
Yay, I killed Bloo with Snyper.

285
Widdles the Kobold is in!

And is promptly replaced by Snyper the Gremlin.

Steel Crossbow & Bolts ( 104 )
Talented Archer ( 63 )
Expert Crossbowman ( 180 )
Adequate Dodger ( 12 )

359 total, so 1 point left. This might work... I think.
