Remember folks, a couple character flaws and not being Scottish make you unqualified as a force for good.

Edit: I disagree with your semantics. Your post is clearly trying to hand wave the good they've done in an attempt to knock them for being humans.

Except the AI in EU4 is blatantly unable to handle the simple mechanics of the game and therefore ignores most/all maluses the PC would get.

One of these is ignoring peace treaties, never getting stability hits, always having gold and monarch jedi points on demand.. A complete lack of usage of the trade system, as well.

Lets not forget the ability to completely ignore casus bellis with impunity and still get an entire group of their not-friends-but-allied-allies to gang up on you because you're the player. Meanwhile allies never join in on your wars despite the best of CBs because their aggression AI mechanics are set to suicidal.

No, the AI in EU4 is not broken, it simply doesn't exist and the cheating and ignoring of mechanics the player is otherwise forced to slog through makes this blatantly obvious that they don't know how to make an AI to play their own simple game.

I'm not going to start again. It's not exactly like I was having fun. I was just waiting and waiting for it to get fun, since everyone on here kept raving about how amazing it was. I never saw anything amazing in a week, and I'm not going to waste another one just to get to the same place. The thing is, I still can't understand what happened. The save I reverted to was about a week old, as I said. But, as I also said, since that save got made I saved, restarted the browser, and reloaded the game many times without any problems. I could understand if it reset me back to zero, having lost my save, but why revert to a save that was simply very outdated? Why was that save kept for all this time? Why is *that* the point I got sent back to? It doesn't make any sense.

You encountered a bug or it was entirely human error. The saving system works perfectly on my browser. I suggest making a bug report instead of lambasting the game. You also got an export code, in the same area where you were..

Definitely out of this until inventory disappearing issues are fixed/boss updates. I'm not fighting the bosses all over again all the time because I lost a critical item.

I also found out what happened to my molten core forge.

I created it, plopped it in a storage to hold since my inventory was packed from mining out the planet below.

Cleaning ship out, moving furniture around, my inventory somehow gets entirely full. I clear out 4-5 spots and continue my reorganization, then take down the storage chest I had my forge in, figuring all the items would just get spit out for me to grab.

Lo and behold, it spits out about.. 70% of the things that were in it. The molten forge not being one of them.

This was right after I'd fought the UFO twice in a row because the first time I got killed and came back, it was just gone [so I had to farm all the pixels again].

Each fight took about ten minutes of clicking in a cheese-bunker to be able to actually kill the goddamn thing. Seriously, not doing that again.

It's not a feature to get wiped. You experienced a bug or human error.

I lost nothing during all the recent updates. I've lost 0 save games for any reason, only once because I cleared my cache and didn't realize what I'd done. So I find it hard to believe that saving is just broken for some people.

General Discussion / Re: Bitcoins, e-currency or just fancy crap?
« on: December 06, 2013, 07:27:36 am »
If you are willing to talk it up you had better be able to defend the 1000$ price tag per unit.

Once again, what makes BTC so much better than gold or silver-indexed currencies? Do you even understand that comparison? I can break this down further since economics is a tangled web and most don't like to get to the weeds.

Because to get to utopia BTC-card-for-all stage you would require a massive fundamental shift in the ways that central banks around the world are handling their business currently [preparing for gold/silver shifts, power follows gold reserves historically].

China is buying gold. India is buying silver and gold, stockpiling to create/shift to their own currencies with actual value backing. Why are they not buying all the SUPER VALUABLE xcoins on the market?

Because they're more interested in the actual currency wars and not pipe dreams.

I guess we are more likely to see them as a currency than to see blowjobs used widely as an exchange mean, to quote AutomataKittay.I also guess that this "joke" is getting taken more and more seriously. Of course I'm just linking another article so it wont make it any more real by itself but I guess china and wall street investors might :)

Lol. Spoken like a true outsider to real market knowledge. I can't just let this sit here, I'm sorry people. There's a beautiful gem of knowledge in the trading world: Where there's euphoria there's downside. Especially when said euphoria is coming from people who don't know what they are talking about. [people excited about BTC are not buyers/traders/miners, they are on the outside looking in]

You ignored the fact that China is restricting BTC usage to create their own faux-version, which will smash any xcoin in value and usefulness [hint, you can't use BTC/Litecoin to buy anything] due to the ability to actually purchase a not-drug with them.

I'd suggest going out and buying some silver and coming back 20 years to tell me about how much better of an idea that was. Much, much better than burning your money on wannabe inflation-hedge-like-gold-but-better-because-science ponzie schemes. Tesla Motors and Facebook/Twitter are safer investments right now, lol.

If you're that one guy who had triple digit BTC, then you take your illgotten money and run.

Otherwise, I have to assume from your post that you find the current BTC market value to be fair or less than what it should be. So in this case; tell me exactly how BTC is worth 1200$ a [fake] unit.

Would you like to buy some of my tulips?

But seriously. You have all the glassy eyed optimism of this being a 'real' currency one day? Based on which precedents? Did you know there's still actually valuable fiat currency substitutes which actually will protect you from inflation, known as precious metals? What the hell about fake online tokens make them worth more than bullion? May as well hedge all your money with NcSoft in-game tokens [NCoin] along with BTC for all the real world value they have.

Just had the Molten core-created forge vanish from my inventory right after making it.

That was neat.

Is it living up to the hype, people? XD
No.

The concept of different planets with diverse biomes is good, but the basics are very much like Terraria, except better or worse in places. If you're someone who's grown tired of Terraria's gameplay, I would not recommend it.

There are such vast differences between the two that I can't help but outright dismiss this post.

No matter what you want to think, the Christian religion and by connection the Catholic church holds enormous influence in US politics.

If you believe a vast chunk of the US voting populace is not influenced by Christian dogma [and therefore, misrepresentations of Christian dogma] then I suggest a reality check.

I guess religion is out of bounds, so let's rehash the same gun debate again and yell over eachother [example above].
