My party goes right. What are the penalties for attacking other parties?
It's deflected off, for now. In later areas it causes bad things and fixed rolls for attacks... but the rolls are fixed through penalties given by race sponsors.

Roll To Dodge / Turn 0 [Hedges, Ledges and Shopkeepers, oh my!]
« on: October 12, 2010, 09:41:10 pm »
The adventurer parties are gathered in the hedge maze for the competition. They avoid speaking to each other except amongst the parties, quietly whispering about the others and their choice of heroes. Everyone looks at the shop across from the starting line. Although they were all given equipment, it is of low quality, while the shop is carrying many shining silver and iron weapons, gleaming in the lights shone on them. As the proprietors of the race rattle of sponsor names and general fanfare, warning the penalties of attack other parties(for now), they also announce the catch- one final monster that give great gifts upon defeat. And, with a the sound of a whistle, the iron gates click open, and the battle starts off.[Hedges are impossible to cut, don't try]

Does it matter which order classes are taken in?
Yes. For example, if you don't take baseball player the first time you see it, you won't be able to use that class UNLESS you use a specific item, dropped by every boss monster (in addition to traditional loot.) And a note: There is one boss per level, and treasure chests are only loot-able once unless you roll a higher check than the person before you.

But if they take secondary classes then they would, hmmm, right, ummm, so they would be completely identical until 5th level?
Yes. But all classes like that are going to have the same stats until you calculate buffs, weapons, and armor.

Duplicates are allowed, just highly dangerous to do. You limit yourself to three stat and class trees since when I do an EXP roll for one class, it goes for all of them that leveled up with the same class.

Priest: Staffy
Mage 1: Wanda
Mage 2: Ron
Mage 3: Harry

Would this be allowed? Or only one of each?

EDIT: Ninjas...
Waiting list?
The first magical defensive enemy you come across your as good as fucked with that set up.
And starting up now...
EDIT: Elgy, hurry up!
@Spade: Every time I RP, and several times when posting stat sheets for Pokethulu, I'd get ninja'd a ton. So I bump to attract ninjas in between my posts.

Monk
Barber
Fighter
(Names? Same as the classes.)
You're clever. I can see the barbers function in there already.

Just so you know, advancing levels leads to modern classes like boxer or physicist at some point. Or myth like classes will probably stay. And you could always just advance the class you have.

How many players? Not having a clear limit leads to unpleasantness.

<Party coming soon>
four total spots with a waiting list.

Sounds interesting, but I am not quite clear on the requirements. Will there be more than one player?
Yes. The unarmed class is monk. You will all control parties in the same dungeon, choosing to work together or not.

Roll To Dodge / MSRTD: turn 2 [fearsome foliage]
« on: October 12, 2010, 05:22:34 pm »
From the DM of Pokethulu (which died due to posting error, not neglect!) A new project has been un furled: MS Paint RTD!. Let me explain how this works: No, it's not all done in MS Paint, but I'm designing beautiful character graphics for the tons of classes for you to have. I'll explain and post pictures below (free for avi use by the way.)

There are six classes groups: Unarmed, weapon, sneak, mundane, magic, and healing. The six base classes are the pure form of these. Every five levels there is a chance to change classes through class melding. You take on a second trait to become another class, having access to different weapons and skill trees. For example, if you pick fighter for your starting class, and then take the mundane class change, you will become a baseball player. You, as a controller, will pick four characters from the starting six, and name them. Everything will be roll controlled for stats or attacks; during level ups I roll on random.org with weighted ones towards HP and main stats, and I roll for damage.Levels go as high as you raise them, and I'll keep thinking up new classes. I put in weapon types and stats in the post below (hopefully).

Players
1.Nirur (Fighter, Healer, Monk, Mage)
2.Dragnar (Thief,Monk,Barber, Fighter)
3. RAM (Thief,Mage,Mage,Barber)
4.Elgy (Monk,Mage,Healer,Fighter)

Creative Projects / Re: Bringing Paint back

Does Paint 7 have selections yet? that's the only artistic tool I regularly feel I need that paint doesn't have. But if it does in the windows 7 version consider me converted. Elsewise, GIMP.
Normal paint is the shit, Windows seven paint is shit. They changed brushes to behave like watercolors, which is the one reason I try something a million times in paint before I realize I have to use GIMP (and I'm terrible with GIMP.).
