Okay, when you find us a way to strand the Romans in the open desert, and reliant on supply lines. Oh, and make sure that the Roman general is a merchant, too, that seems to help. At the moment, we seem to be dealing with an entrenched enemy, with relatively short supply lines.

Oh, and I forgot: we'll need bigger horses then. The Scythians used smaller ones for combat.

I vote we develop senses for the electromagnetic spectrum.

Well, the greek may have it. They were serving the Roman until a few days ago. Plus I'm sure they have no passphrase, it'd be too much of a mess with thousands of people running around. Especially if they are auxilliaries, many of which may not even speak Latin.

As for Tetsudoes, if they form one, getting them not to be able to kill us is already fine. Plus you're forgetting we won't be fighting on our own. I'm sure our lords will be more than happy to crush that Tetsudo.

Why would it be too much of a mess? How many of the six thousand in a legion would be entering or leaving? And if they are auxilliaries, then the problem is even worse. They will probably have a passphrase as well, and in this case we have no chance of knowing what it is or how to say it.

Oh, but they'll be able to switch to pila. And then we will be at the disadvantage.

Yeah, the Thracians were the guys who caused the romans to change their armour. Using Falxes. Which you don't have.

Using bows will be counter productive. The Romans will just form a testudo. If we had lances, that would be a good thing, but it doesn't appear we do.

Infiltrating the Romans' camp? Seriously? We don't have the passphrase, which the Romans will most certainly have.

Greeks will be useless in battle. Use them and Anaxagoras to keep your guys healthy. Thracians might be useful, but if we don't have weapons they will die quickly. Guerilla warfare? That's pretty advanced for most of the enemies Rome fought, which means they had a leader. We can't trust them, they'll be loyal to them first.

If we had an all cavalry force, that might be easier, since most of the nomadic tribes were very skilled horsemen and able to fight on horseback, but infantry will just be lambs to the slaughter. There was only one enemy that caused the Romans to change the design of their armour, and they were using very specialised weapons.

Tell you the truth, we don't stand much chance against the Romans.

Any reason you didn't like Retribution?

Come on Stworca, you can do it!

Okay, haven't played the game. Considered it until I saw it's a bit unoptimized. Not sure if I wanna put that much stress on my computer. I might stick it on an older one if they can meet the requirements though.

But, err. If this really has proper Orbital mechanics then...

Well, gravity doesn't seem to be implemented properly. You can tell if you detach some heavier rockets from you, and don't turn yours back on, or if you detach light things from you and keep your main rocket really heavy. Heavy things are being affected by gravity more than light things, which isn't how gravity actually works in real life (In real life it depends only on your distance and the mass of the objects exerting their gravity on you).

I think that's because they have more drag (items DO have a drag coefficient, I've checked).

Drag is definitely the problem here.

Wait, you attacked an NPC? Good job :P

Might not be able to do that as easily as I'd hope. Got another game at 11.

Oh, but the Romans probably won't kill them. Romans are much more practical than that. They'll probably either enslave them or leave them in peace. If they do enslave them, they're probably due for the gladiatorial arena, which means a pretty cushy life, free food, board, medical care, maybe popularity if they're good (on the level of a famous band). Really, the Pax Romana was pretty good for those under the Roman's rule.
