When I killed Nirur, I was still a proud and loyal member of the Martha's crew (oh so long ago).

If you are still interested in doing said report on cellular automata, I have run across Rule 110. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_110As far as I can tell, it's not one-dimensional. That would be a row of cells. It has an x and y axis, which means it's two-dimensional. And I think even Game of Life is turing-complete.
It is a cellular automata rule for a 1 dimensional automata which is proven to be turing complete. Or in other words, you can solve every mathematical problem using it (albiet inefficiently).
:O XKCD snuck it into a web comic without me even realizing it... http://xkcd.com/505/
No? I mean where you could instantly swap a card (or up to four if you're a captain) ONCE per turn and instantly use it.Ok then, change of plans. I return (hehe) to the Enigma, give IronyOwl my Plasma Charge (which is going to make someone very happy in a few moments, or so I hope) and discard... well, how many cards CAN I discard then? Still only one? I seriously don't get this, I think the old system was better. You mean where I could swap until I get a Photon torpedo?
No, that got changed. Card swapping happens at the turn end.
You could teleport onto the Enigma with me. You know, shields.
Oh, and I discard redshirt dive and repair level 1.
wait, ascot is dead?Yes. Askot is dead, so we are now without a captain. I have become a member of Enigma's crew. You should do that too. You really should.
and sorry. was away at camping for three days. not to mention that i scratched my cornea.
