Question: If your mooding weaponsmith is demanding, of all things, SLADE, do you exploit-channel some slade to see if he will make some sort of slade inclusive artifact? His preferences: "Slade, raw adamantine, raw adamantine, adamantine". Dunno why it says raw adamantine twice, but whatever. this is v 31.12.
Oh and all my other embark dwarves have either a preference for adamantine, slade, or both.

Apparently my magma isn't so much as hot as "made of large serrated discs" I haven't ever gotten a heat related death injury, instead getting "Urist McMelty has bled to death."

I am doing the one dwarf challenge, but after reclaiming my previous attempt discovered a second pick. I order someone from the third wave to channel-drop into the volcano. He discovers the magma sea AND two adamantine pillars.

~1/2 of the HFS is dead, have one miner with broken legs.
Accidentally collapsed the adamantine tube onto them.
*season change crashes DF*

Were those demons supposed to die?
Or did my legendary hammerer/axeman/miner just kill them?
Reports weren't actually reporting anything, even when there was fighting.

Why are you unable to engrave on constructions? I floor over un-smoothable areas, then find that they cannot be engraved.

Is there any way to mod a weapon, be it an artifact or not, so that if it lands a blow it instantly removes the body part?

Also, is there a way to make it ignore certain things it hits? (eg destroys organs, ignores the skeleton

1. How many dwarf migrants should be accepted before I seal off the passage to the outside world?
2. How many z-levels can a "Basically unbreakable" dorf fall before taking damage?
2.5. How many layers of cavern can collapse on the above dorf before he takes damage?
3. If there is no way to get to your dorfs, will besieging enemies mine into your fortress?
4. I really don't understand how the perpetual motion water pump/water wheel works. Help.
5. Would a fortress constructed entirely out of wood float on water without being attached to it?
6. Will a dorf with sufficient toughness and swimming be able to survive a dive into magma?
