My ipod has 9200+ songs on it, and I have tons of old CDs lying around I've never got around to burning :\
Jack, why on earth did you get an ipod if you only had 10ish songs to put on it in the first place?
You what?
When I said put real music on my iPod, I meant it. I now have twenty songs, half of which is now Led Zepplin.
What's this 700 crap. How can people do that? I need to get into music more heavily, there's clearly something I'm missing out on.
Speaking of which, I also recently pruned my playlist. I don't understand how people have so many songs. I have to listen to a song a few times before I really enjoy it, so having three thousand songs would simply ensure that I hated my iPod 24/7.
Vaguely related is the day when I thought I was having really awesome Shuffle luck, but it was just my iPod being set on 'Top 25 Most Played' by my alarm.
Could have sworn they were walking through the forbidden door in .06 though. It'd change the door message from "Forbidden" to "USED BY INTRUDER"Pretty sure the intruder message is only for, you know, intruders. Not guests, like the traders.
Looking back it wasn't really just Pathos I guess. A lot of people made this worse than itshould have beenalready was. My apologies for singling you out, Pathos.
That the game SURVIVED such a seemingly catastrophic hash up of it's working data amazes me. It seems to have dredged through the raws for anything to keep it from falling over. It is genuinely a masterwork of programing (even if it does die horribly when you take nothing to your fortress)
As for duplicating it, I'm sure if you hacked into the raws you could get something working (with forgotten beasts as the civ? maybe)
I found a Led Zepplin CD in the car and finally got around to putting actual music on my iPod.
Feels good man.
Or at least, it does now. I was having a screaming fit at my computer when it kept telling me that it had to delete all my other songs because I had the audacity to install iTunes on a different computer.
Or when it wouldn't let me move my library from my iPod to my computer. Fuck you Apple. Thank God for third party stuff.
A lot of happy stuff happened lately. I could sit here and make a post telling you about all of them but the latest one just puts it over the top a lot, so just know I had a good day and get your warm fuzzies from that alone.
Because you don't need to hear me ramble on.
Might try a fort later, but I suspect I may get nothings coming in from the wilderness, or traders bringing nothing meat with them and causing non-fun. Definitely a keeper tho'. I like the idea of a single fish dragging a wagon through the wilderness to a new outpost...
the only change I made was to set a number of creatures tamable, and give myself extra embark points
Does DF check that it's only opening text files or does it open everything arbitrarily?
