Depressingly enough, if they're wild savage creatures all of those bandits are naked, aren't they.
Yep, but they can still be more or less as dangerous as wolves. Made them travel in groups, they can push you to the ground more, they strangle and throw with gusto, etc....(obviously can't butcher them though)

One test of mine they even took down a new, well armed adventurer with tactics and numbers (i.e. tackle 'em to the ground, grab the weapons and bumrush 'em...like angry, drunk naked hobos). But as they are considered "beasts", the other predators don't mind them...I think they even go bowling or go-karting on weekends.

Frankly, I haven't figured out how I can make them wear stuff without becoming a subterranean dweller.  :(

"1st adventure"? Sounds more like your "First town killing spree" :P

Search for more megabeats, Go deep unto dark eerie caves, swim the haunted seas, Travel the world and reach out to more people......with your spear/sword/arrows.

^Interesting tale...from the information you've given, it's probably a wandering demon with fire breath that took it out. Unless of course you've got some some modded creatures running about.

Current adventurer is hunting down the remnants of a goblin fortress who fled after it has fallen to the dwarves...got my work cut out for me before they disappear unto the Clear Plains. Even found some of them being attacked by Wyverns and Bandits (modded them in, fun additional things to ambush you).

I've tried to talk with the great Toad Deity...asked about his family, his surroundings, even told him that he looked like a mighty warrior indeed...

...There was no response :-[

The 'magic' is technically a superheated glob of liquid, so it mixes with the blood when it smashes into someone like that.  The game reports this faithfully.  No recycling, they disappear after you throw them (or fail to throw them fast enough).
Oh? Interesting...may we see the RAWs of this "ability"?

Laced with human blood?
Recycled magic missile...so they're more like magical snow balls I guess.

It was either your dwarves dug out "the carnival" while it was lagging, there was chasms & deep caves near by or they were the random demons who escaped that just happened upon your poor migrants.

Mmm...do immigrants just abandon the place and just disappear to the wilderness or do they at least try to settle down in a near by town?

Play Now! dwarves are fun...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
And by Play Now! dwarves I mean dwarves that have thrown away all their belongings. Clothes? Pffft, who needs em.
El chupacabra! El chupacabra! Hide your elves and goats!

The burning robotic unicorn's right...If you really want some nicer stuff in adventure mode without playing fortress mode 1st, then you'll have to make little mods and edits to the game RAWs, like making dwarves start out in towns and removing the DEEP tag in adamantine (Layman terms: they'll start selling those fancy glowing blue sharp stabby things.)

...wait...what's the best minerals for blunt weapons again that are available for Adventure mode?

Maybe your using an older version of DF if there's no action key options. They'll pop out even with no regents around.

Oh, extra fact: You don't even need to be holding the sharp things for butchering, as long as it's in the same tile as you. So sharp stuff that you've thrown and lodged on the poor target that are now littering the ground are tools right there and then.

Man, how'd you manage to catch a fairy? It took me ten minutes just to catch a dragonfly.
Well, the most basic thing is that you don't actually look for them...I've found some fairies, monarch butteflies, dragonflies and a Bluejay(?) from just randomly walking around (And so far, I've yet to find a wambler). Actually found a lot of individual fairies flying around some destroyed forest town...it almost seemed like it was like some magical ruins, looked nice with all the glowing things floating around.

But I also especially modified fairies to be like flies...they swarm in large groups & get disturbed at times even.

And throwing stuff at them even as a legendary seems ineffective...you'll miss and they'll just point anf laugh at you. Oh, no...It's Dorfy Highschool all over again!

You can actually butcher wamblers....and fairies.....and pixies....it's just that you won't get anything useful at all other than small bloodstains on your knife and weird horrified looks from people (aside maybe some experience).

Though, if we are allowed to have families for our adventurer's, I hope they're not as boring as everybody else.
True.......OR.....maybe if possible, starting a family would be the/ one option for an "End game" of Adventure mode. Where if you want to start playing again, you can but now you'll play as your child with some decent skills inherited from your 1st one (along with their parents legendary bloodstained stuff...*sigh* still dreamin').

Wait, can demons be butchered? They are sentient to some extent...

I modded in a reaction to make a copper battleaxe by concentrating.
You remind me of a Dwarven Link...

Doo-doo-doo-DOO~
You've gotten "Copper Axe"!

But I'm sorry. We're gonna' eventually use your creation for evil, maniacal, and dorfy purposes...kinda' like nuclear power!
