Have you made bauxite an ore of aluminium? While dwarves may not have the requisite technology to extract aluminium from bauxite, 3rd Millennium humans most definitely have. The only question is if they have enough power.

I am thinking of a megaproject that requires quite a pit of aluminium.

Can you upload a package with only the relevant files please? I only need the raws and world gen file. So downloading an entire copy of Dwarf Fortress is bit of an overkill. Particularly because it probably is the Windows version, which is kind of pointless since I use Linux.

That's why you attack animals with non-lethal means first to piss them off. Once they attack you it counts as self-defence.

Or maybe I just don't get the elven point of view.

I don't use drinking water. Booze is good enough for my dwarves. I suppose eventually I'd build a well or two just for lulz.

My game crashes when I try to form a squad. 'nuff said methinks.

Caverns
More Fun. Limitless underground water without flows. Trees to cut regardless of aboveground biome. No more generating 10 worlds to find one usable embark location.

Military
Once the bugs are fixed, I am sure it will be awesome. Sadly my 0.31.04 seems to crash every time I try to create a squad.

Megabeasts
I might get to see one. I'd like them all killable though.

Migrants
Are useful. I think that's 'nuff said.

Magma sea
Magma? Yes please. Finally I can have sedimentary flux.

Minerals
It may be just me but useful minerals seem far more plentiful.

Chalk. It is flux stone. It has bituminous coal. It has magnetite. It has a pretty colour. I like its name more than limestone or dolomite. It has jet, which is another pretty rock. It comes in layers.

I suppose it comes down to...it's chalk.

I also like obsidian. It is pretty too.

You are missing the obvious. Put xeno elves in an airlock. Seal off your fortress and then expose them to vacuum or a lethal atmosphere. I just hope elves don't come up with a way to survive outside. Major Fun if you forget to seal off your fortress.

Metal blood for bronze colossi? Too easy. The correct way is to tame a dragon, then let it take care of such a minor nuisance. Dragonfire can kill bronze colossi. Though you might need more than one dragon...

I can confirm dwellers eat just fine in 0.73. Thank you for a prompt fix.

They were indeed hunting for vermin. And unhappy. Not that they had much to be happy about.

I checked out vanilla 04. Dwarves at least seem to eat stuff. So fortunately it is not something we need to wait toady to fix.

I get horrible static in title screen when I enable sounds. But I don't have sounds in game either, at least in vanilla.
