The Sauron we're using describes the physical incarnation of Sauron during the events of the movie proper, the one that personally tortured Gollum.

Hmm... this one has an additional disability - the missing finger on his right hand would mess up his grip.

Adventure Guy has a bad habit of that. Remember the bird?

393
Aye, so is this the Sauron from the start of the movie, or the one from the events of the movie? The Sauron during the movie is even more depowered, essentially, yes, just the big guy with the mace, with the added difficulty of knowing he is mortal.

...

No, not the big flaming eye, the physical Sauron.

Running turn shortly.

I think Sauron falls within the category of people with unreasonable amounts of power.  Jar Jar should win.  Just because.

Yeah, I think I already pointed out that he's basically a lesser god. It took the entire White Council to suppress him at Mirkwood, and two of the members of the Council are beings on his level. Barbarossa himself pointed out that it took a specific weapon to beat him in the movie, the Narsil, and the Silmarillion's Sauron lived in a time of technological advancement. Sooo... yeah.

Roll To Dodge / Re: RTD: Project Twilight [Round 48: Splitting Up]

Let's Roll!

Alright, inform Jaume that there must be monsters in four of the houses, and try and enter one of the houses that I can detect people in.

Result: 2

Cassandra again attempts to clarify her "vision" but fails. She enters the first house on her left.

Jaume gets into his most heroic, civilian-saving mood (and yes, he does quote Minsc while at it), then follows Cassandra into the building.

Result: 3

Bellowing at the top of his lungs, "I trust those who prey on children no farther than they can be thrown, even if I manage to throw them pretty far!" Jaume psyches himself up! (+1 to next combat round) Unfortunately, anything in the nearby houses is probably now aware that someone is still out there.

He follows Cassandra in.

Keep following some psycho lady. Punch stuff to death.

No roll necessary

Pierre continues to follow Elizabeth.

Head North with Elizabeth

No roll necessary

Hoisting her spear, Jane follows Elizabeth north.

-Igor, behave. This man is helping get you food, he isn't food himself. Be nice or I will use my lipstick on you. And look, more baddies there!

Elizabeth rather eagerly turns toward North and is inclined to go there, but not alone.

No Roll Necessary

Pierre and Jane in tow, Elizabeth heads north. Suddenly there is a screech from the sky! The huge dark creature whirls overhead out of the clouds and hurls several fireballs at the town. One arcs towards the four in the street!

Roll to Dodge! (Pierre, Elizabeth, Jane, Cecilia): 2 + 1, 2 + 1, 4, 3 + 1

With some quick thinking, the four of them barely manage to dodge the fireball, which explodes harmlessly between them. The dark creature flies somewhere in the distance and lands.

Head towards the stream.

sorry.  :-[

Movement Roll (Difficult Terrain): Natural 1

Cecilia goes for the stream. The Inky Beast whines, as it clearly can't follow. But as Cecilia is heading down the embankment, she slips and lands facefirst in the ankle-deep stream!

Current Situation

Cecilia

Facedown in an ankle-deep stream. The Inky Beast sits on the embankment.

Pierre, Elizabeth, Jane

Heading north. They are at the intersection now. The road stretches east, and west. The crash site is to the north.

Cassandra, Jaume

Jaume and Cassandra are in a living room. It is dark. There is a small snuffling sound coming from somewhere.

Hence, ignore. Anyway, slashers are everywhere, and this is much less of a crack pairing than the others, so they will NOT BE DISSUADED.

You realize what this means of course.  Loads and loads of graphic JohnXKarkat as people take this shit way too literally.  And like Duke expertly predicted, completely forget or ignore the differences between "Heart" and "Spade".

People already ship Emperor Palpatine and Luke Skywalker, so at least this is slightly less bad.

And John having a gray spade shirt, although that may have just been Karkats HATE-VISION.

Spade-struck Karkat is creepy as Hell, by the way.  Jegus, that face...
He looks kind of stoned actually.

I still think it's adorable he finally found his hateshipmate or whatever you call it.

True. But as Phantom mentioned, the discs are meant to skip. The Disc Thrower can't attack aircraft, implying that it defaults to bouncing off the ground, caroming into obstacles - effective in an urban environment, especially against tanks, terrible on a tropical island - if the fight occurs in the jungle, the disc would bounce off a tree; if the fight takes place on the beach, the disk would simply fail to skip.

While John is pretty much a child, his innate lack of a sense of wonder means he would take the island in stride, and hammer the Disc Thrower to pieces. The Fear No Anvil would effectively neutralize the Disc Thrower's (rather clear, by virtue of his being a military trained adult) strength advantage in melee; in addition, his combat suit being mainly meant for an urban environment, he would be suffering from the heat and humidity as well. The cumbersome launching system and storage gear mean that an additional onus would be on the Disc Thrower. John, wearing only any of the three outfits he'd previously acquired, would not be affected as much.

DO THIS THING FORTHWITH.

I accidentally drafted a peasant while trying to draft some ex-soldiers to fight of trolls, and so he immediately went and murdered all four trolls with his bare hands, sustaining only a bruise to the lip fat. between that and the 2 more recent sieges he is now a legendary wrestler in full bronze (could not find flux stone, still looking) with a strange preference for murdering trolls. he has killed one gobbo, a rutherer, and 12(!) trolls.

As it turns out, Trolls aren't exactly very tough anymore.
