I have been trying to figure out how to move stuff off of the trade depot when there isn't a caravan there, is this possible? I was trying to figure out the trading system when a caravan of elves came, but I ended up giving them a bunch of stuff for free by accident. I then just took the things that I wanted because, hey, its mine. Now they left and I can't figure out how to move the stuff off the trade depot.
Also, when trying to build an entrance can I use ramps to make the entrance a little ways away and go down one level to lead into a long hall o' doom? (Yes I am new to the game and have no idea how traps or mechanisms work so that is going to be interesting, but I am learning as I go)
Finally, is there a way to create a mechanism that would allow me to run a passage from the river on the map to the room I want to irrigate for farming and be able to close it off again? I think I could use a floodgate (and a lever, don't know how this works, I will have to look into it) but I don't know how I would mine out the last block without sacrificing a dwarf.

P.S Is there a way to set job priorities? i.e. do everything related to masonry first then crafting etc...
