I'd go find the building with nine supports, put half my guys covering the elevator door(only way out), and the others emptying their alien recharge bioblasters into the supports.  Why should I fight room to room when I can force them to madly dash out at me in an attempt to escape the collapsing building?
wait... didn't that piss off the government though?

I don't quite understand the purpose of the "only allowed to use certain colors" requirement besides making everything ugly.
it really makes as much sense as no e round  ::). But a bigger problem is that there aren't that many rules you can impose on a picture

The game isn't in a particularly active development.

Take this, you know what to do.
err... should we go to Mordor and drop it into mount doom?

how about CGA round: you can only use black, cyan, magenta and white?

I think the machines of matrix (being a pretty damn good AI) were doing it for the lulz. I mean, think of the irony: for generations human had used them for various weird ineffectual purposes (like playing MMOs), so now they are using humans as an inefficient energy source. And even if humans were the ultimate matter to energy converter, there's no need to run a "matrix" for them, just keep pumping food in, and mix it with some sedatives or something.

Quote
You'd need at least 10 billion tons to cause a slight tremor.
I would like to respectfully call bullshit on that.
The Alvarez's asteroid was roughly 10-100 times more than that (i.e. had 10-100 times more energy- it's all linear), and it created the gulf of Mexico and killed off dinosaurs worldwide.

think about this: I have a baseball, a cherry, and a blueberry pie, what will happen if a drop the cherry into the pie from 2 meters? it will bounce off harmlessly. Now what will happen if a drop my baseball into the pie from 2 meters? I will splash blueberry jam all over my table.
Earth is like a pie- outside is a hard crust, inside is a liquid-sih filling. and if you are experimenting with small rocks (under 100 kgs) you will find that they cause hardly any damage at all. Some of the energy is lost by the slowing of the rock, a little more though decrease of mass when it "burns-up", and all of it is absorbed by the soft soil a the top.
However when you are dealing with large bodies (say over 1000 tons), the effect is quite the opposite- the burn up, and slowing cause very small reductions, and the brunt of the impact is taken by the surface itself. Once the crust is broken through, remainder of the impact will go into the magma, and with a bit of help from Pascal's law, will cause massive earthquakes in the area. please note that the number 10^6 kilograms is fairly random, and the actual conditions needed to break the crust vary with the shape and density of the rock.

what if the AI has a reality bubble?

oh... so you are saying we're the only ones who can kill them, and thus is our duty?
Than you are quite correct (in the first part anyway), disregard my post.

in the word "only", humans are not the only prey of the ebolavirii.

Primate cyborgs are a great idea, I absolutely love it. (no sarcasm)

However explain to where the error is (name the place and give an explanation, don't just talk about the Animatrix):
a) we assume that there exists an AI complex enough to rival human intelligence. and for the sake of the argument powerful enough that it could run the human body perfectly, if an opportunity presented itself (such as:there's a headless body, with the head removed 30 seconds ago, and the cables already attached to all the necessary nerves). in short it's as powerful as a human brain, even if it's of a different size.
b.1)A Silicone refinement plant pretty much runs itself, except:
it needs source materials and power
it needs human operators to press buttons on a control panel.
it needs repairmen to check it for breaks and fix them.
b.2) same is true for computer assembly plant, robotic arm producing plant, spare part plant, and pretty much every other plant in the developed world.
b.3) modern mining equipment is also more or less automatic, but needs a lot more operators on site.
b.4)humans also drive trucks and do other logistical work.
c)
There is no reason why an AI that is as smart as a human, can't drive a truck by remote control. (except the fact that a driver-less truck is suspicious, which is of no concern on the moon)
Being as smart as a human an AI can follow the same guidelines when pressing buttons on the control panels (in fact it would just send current into the necessary cables, which again is of no importance to our discussion)
the final requirement is a bit tricky, but if we assume that there are reliable enough robotic arms and cameras, It would be possible to make and operate a repair-robots and miner-robots, again remotely controlled.
d)
So, we have the plants necessary to produce every bit of equipment necessary for our continued existence, and mine out the necessary source materials (assuming they are present in the area). I believe that to be a homeostatic system.

addnm) and don't tell me "that's not homeostatic, the mines will run out!", most of the raw materials can be obtained though recycling of outdated or broken-beyond-repair machines. then from loose asteroids, then maybe synthesized from the energy of our sun (life hasn't remained unchanged thoughout history either, you know...)

addnm2)also, I'm not claiming that the human civilization is of  no use to this process. (I mean: if it weren't for the humans, there would be no AI, right?) just that after a while it becomes possible to run the whole thing without them and then the system becomes homeostatic.

Seeing how LCS is in development, there aren't any games newer than it. so no.

on topic of sleepers being able to help your squad remain unnoticed:
first of all, if your sleeper is a security guard, she could very well help with delaying.
and ofcourse any sleeper could leave a (normally locked) door open into a sensitive area (or in case of a factory/inteligence HQ- the entrance)
