The low wages right now are temporary, and Scorpian himself does not get paid or accept wages from the company.

If this is so, How come the company has made a profit of 520 THB? See: http://www.erepublik.com/company-151001.html
I fail to see the contradiction...

Ahem... name, rank and serial number?

(just your name in eRepublik will suffice)

That was a cheap jab :D, but actually it's more of being unable to put an SO in control of a company after you've made it that is affecting our progress in that area.
well I'm not saying it's without risks, but fairly safe if performed by 1 person- you sell the company, and then immediately buy the company (preferably for 5 gold, so it's not everyone that can buy the company at a whim).

i would help, but unluckly i have no gold :(
we also accept THB (we'll need some later on- for salaries etc.)

on an unrelated note, does anyone know why there's no food on the market?

ok let's pool our stuff (just post how much you want to invest, and I'll tally it all here):
SO's invite gold:5
A1s:20 gold
Servant Corps: 5 gold
olemars:5 gold
E. Albright: 1 gold and 200 THB
_____________
total: 36 gold, 200 THB.

1 gold will be assumed to be worth 100THB for purposes of figuring out everyone's share.

you can neither buy an oversees company, nor work for it-we'd all have to move.

oh, most definitely. Everyone agrees SOs are the most efficient way of managing a company (with the notable exception of Scorpian)

That game is really awesome. The "main" part of the game might not be all that good, but it's the events that make it shine (with high quality illustrations, and unexpectedly far reaching consequences).

my own Q1 house cost me 555 THBs when I bought it. Offcourse back then gold went for 500THB a pop, so the prices might have gone down since (the government is burning money to cause deflation= lowering of prices).

anyway, seeing how there aren't any houses we can just start at 500 and look where that takes us.

I'm willing to work with either of our companies (as I have both gift and Housing exp), however I must warn you that Housing needs the most initial capital (Q1 houses need 200 work units to be built. with 1.6 skill, and wellness in the high 80s, I produce 3.3 units per day).

P.S. about buying out the competition: if they're selling the company, that means they are not able to run it at a profit, they were probably not much of a competition to begin with. The good thing is that it sill has 362 THBs in it's coffers (for salaries), which would have cost us and aditional 4.7 gold if we bought it on the market, bringing the total cost down to but 36.3 gold. (but we don't want people to move away,so...)

what? gold does not get cheaper or more expensive... well in Thailand it does, but that's just because it was broken when we came.

that was not quite the point, I was told there were 2 endings (and the one I got was mildly optimistic).
