...I'm technically only a level one (Dragonblood) sorcerer. In fact, without my two flaws, I'd have only 8 HP (hurray for Draconic Toughness), and no real offense (Draconic Breath is good for this one). This is unfortunately the only way to do this, because I have to take the 2nd and 3rd Draconic racial class levels in a row, and I'd rather take them now when I can survive the reduced HP and spells. I'll have to take the fourth sometime though, and that'll get me the Dragon type (I'll lose the humanoid type and dragonblood subtype too), which will make me immune to anything that only targets humanoids, and also make me immune to magical sleep and paralysis.
*A few discrepancies I noticed - Merrian should have a BaB of 2 (ranger +1, fighter +1), Glacius should have more HP. (you start with your full HD at level one)
), right? You get (6+Int mod)x4 at first, for 32, and 8 at 2nd and 3rd, for 48 total. (Where are Grippli in the books anyway? I can't seem to find them.)
Gametable RC7 also works for cross platform.Cool, what kind of character are you making?
I'll submit a character for if we're using a whiteboarding client. I don't want to get into another IRC game, I prefer the tactical aspect of the tiles. [working on it now]
No you don't get it, Fire + Sand is so Different to Sand + Fire...What is THAT going to accomplish? Black lung?
Its like when you add water to fire you get no more fire (Its Super Effective!!!), but put fire to water you get steam...
ANYWAY
Coal + Air
I fear that I already have too many D&D games on this forum, but if you are short of characters I might end up doing the foolish thing...There is no U.S.A. Central time, we use CST for central. Anyway, I think it's just a typo for UTC. I think the Coordinated Universal Time is actually a different language, probably French or something.
What is UCT? I know what GMT is, I know that Microsoft is trying to change it to UTC, which seems to somehow stand for Coordinated Universal Time. I also suspect that it may stand for U.s.a. Central Time...
It's a compromise of French and English, "Universal Time, Coordinated".
By the way, eternal wands are only usable for spellcasters that can cast arcane spells, so I'm the only one that can use one so far. Also, just so everyone knows, I do not have a familiar, however, I do plan on getting one later on at some point.4e, I think. You have 2700gp to spend on various items (more or less). I admit to fudging the exact costs on my character, it should come to about 2700, but I really didn't want to spend time on detailed accountancy. In other words, you can have a magic item up to 2700gp in value, assuming you take no other equipment.Oh well, I guess I'm stuck with only having three eternal wands

And now that you've said that, all our villains will be ice-themed and we'll end up finding the Plane of Cold or something similar.Well, he does have the Frostburn book

Too bad my breath weapon would be useless though, and that looks like it will be my main damage source (through the Draconic Breath feat, not my normal breath weapon). The bonus things I get from being half-dragon are so awesome. Darkvision and low-light vision mean that I don't even need a light source. I get +4 natural armor, and I get immunity to magical sleep and paralysis. Not to mention the breath weapon. It's basically a glass cannon, but with some awesome perks. If this campaign survives long enough, I'll be able to get some metabreath feats, making me able to deal 6d8 damage in a 30ft cone every 1d4-1 rounds. The only thing is, until I get to 6 HD (9th level), my breath weapon only has 1 use per day. This is by no means an overpowered character though, I'm still 3 character levels behind everyone. The only real perks I get for being a half-dragon are the dragon type, a few immunities, some ability score increases (+8 Str, +2 Cha, +2 Int, +2 Con), wings (I can only glide so far, and fall from any height), natural armor, and some natural weapons. On the negative, I get reduced character level, which means less spells, less feats, less HD (and therefore HP), more XP for the same progression, and on Eberron, half-dragons are hunted for being "abominations" by true dragons.
).Speaking of Sid Meier's games, Sword of the Samurai. Going through the samurai hierarchy from simple samurai to shogun through warfare, assassination, incrimination and duels. I'm guessing this is another thing Sid considers his lesson of what not to do. Wonder if he feels the same about Alpha Centauri considering it never got continued in any form.Alpha Centauri does have an expansion that added some new stuff, including two new alien factions. I have Alpha Centauri, but not the expansion. One thing I loved from that game is the unit customization. The "ethics" system is pretty cool too.
Personally, I thought that the opposition in Evil Genius was terrible. It was annoying, it just felt...uninteresting. The super agents were frustrating and boring. The guys who blew stuff up were annoying and boring. The guys who snooped around were easy and boring. This is why Sim City has the "natural" disasters
I have no idea how to make it more interesting, but it just felt like...there wasn't anything interesting going on with the people who invaded your island. And if they're not interesting then what made the game interesting? Building your base? Well, that's cool until it's built. You might as well be playing Theme Hospital (which again, is fun...to build. But once you get your hospital built, you wind up sitting on your thumbs waiting for the objectives to complete). Hell even Rollercoaster Tycoon had that problem.
How do you take a game that's building-centric, and make it stay interesting after you're done building? I guess DK came closest. I liked it a lot when I was fighting someone who had their own dungeon--or when there was a harsh timeline to defend against a threat.
COuldnt the player kill the search party and investigaters, then kill the search party FOR the search party, etc?I think they'd get a bit suspicious after their search party didn't return
