How do I stop it spamming me with messages about run being turned on whenever I encounter a monster?

Indeed, fuck Actishit.

This would probably be a great opportunity for Blizzard to start releasing DLCs. Which I imagine they will.

Which is better HOI 2 or 3?

I personally enjoyed hoi 2 more, but if you never played either, go with hoi 3

I haven't ever been able to really get into HOI3, honestly. Just some stuff about it that its just "Screw this I'm going to go play EU3"  Like the army control system, I really don't like it, the Brigades and Divisions and hqs, they just made it all needlessly complicated, and I think HOI2 was better in this.

Get Arsenal of Democracy. It's HOI2+expansions+Everything that AoD adds. Hoi2 is much more stable than Hoi3, it's a little easier to learn, it allows you to actually change history a bit and it's generally more fun in my own opinion. It's £2.74 on steam.

81 cents/50ishp/810 blue coins for 2 games and their expansions. I've heard good things about it, so you may as well just get it if you're interested.

I just wanted to point out a few extremely cheap deals on some good games on GamersGate.
97% off on;
Space empires IV
Space empires V
Disciples platinum(Disciples 1+expansions, Disciples 2+expansions.)

Which brings them down to about 30-80cents/20-50p each. Good way to spend any small amounts of blue coins you've built up.
There's a new summer sale starting and probably more classic games at -97%, tell us if you find any.

Turns out that was an error, it's now a lot less cheap. Sorry if you missed it.

Jagged alliance 1 and Jagged alliance 2 gold are on offer (-70%, £1.29/~$2.50 for the first and £5/~$9 for the second).

If you give him capital punishment, he'll become a martyr and won't have to suffer the hate and loathing of almost an entire country and more, it'd be like he got away with killing 80 young people. In the mind of a person willing to kill so many for their political and cultural beliefs, dying at the end of it is probably just like a ticket out.

If you guys haven't heard, Stalker 2 may just be awesome. It's one big area, as opposed to several separated levels, the story will again focus on Strelok and then something else amazing that I forgot.

Also, I think LURK intended to make the game much more difficult and realistic, as did AMK, complete intended to make SoC 'complete'.

I personally never found any bugs in vanilla stalker, and it ran perfectly fine. There are patches available. If you play complete on your first play through, you'll compare every mod you play on other play throughs to complete, not vanilla. As a lot of mods don't change graphics, it might seem like a graphical downgrade.

What I guess I meant was, don't use mods on your first play through.

Leaning (Q and E by default) around corners in stalker helps a lot and generally using cover rather than standing out in the open.

Also, don't get complete. Ever. Allow me to copy paste.

The reasons to not play complete are following:
It makes the game easier.
It's unoptimised.
It's not vanilla and as such new players shouldn't play it.
It changes much too little to be worth playing for a veteran.
It's a bunch of small mods thrown into a compilation, with pretty much no credit to the original authors.
It doesn't add anything compared to mods like AMK or LURK, just removes the vanilla feel and improves the graphics.
~Artist~ Pavel, is a pretentious douchebag.
It gets way too much press for being not much more than a compilation of graphic mods and a few gameplay changes.
There are some really good modders out there, making really complex and balanced mods which adds lots of features, many starting from scratch, or at least acknowledging the giants upon which shoulders they stand. What kind of press do these guys get? NONE.

DF is actually an incredible CPU load test.

For overall system load, try getting ARMA 2. It uses both CPU and GPU heavily. Don't let the less than A+ graphics fool you! There's a free verison now for multiplayer only that is downloadable at http://www.arma2.com/free or get the full game + the huge expansion pack together for $30 on steam: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4638/

It has none of the awesome mod support but should give you a chance to see how your system handles.

Arma 2 lags out all systems, it's just buggy and unoptimised.

This is quite an interesting insight on Toady and ThreeToe's lives. The article gets sent out tomorrow, so we'll probably see the results by the end of next week.

They're two different things. This game has NPC enemies and anomalies and is generally just about the ship and it's crew. Hazeron is an empire-building game where you can take the wheel of a ship you designed. Artemis is quite fun because of the teamwork; the officers are reliant on other officers to keep the ship running. You can take multiple positions, but for the ones that require constant attention such as the helm and weapons, it's almost impossible to run two posts at once. In Hazeron it was quite rare to be able to have a full player crew and then an actual battle with another ship, in Artemis, that's the point of the game.
