I agree with GTM. The complexity and nonsensical bugs are what are attractive to a lot of the people here. Make a simpler game and use it to introduce people to DF.

EDIT: Also, I backtraced it, so the cyberpolice will make consequences NEVER be the same. Just had to put that there and see how many trolls I can kite in one day.

Color me stupid if it can't be done, but could you use your fancy tile magic thinggimajigger to make the sprite change based off the armor equipped? Not necessarily the color of the armor needs to change, but if they are only wearing a metal helm, could it show?

EDIT: Also, have you tried bumping up the melting point?(Right. Changed fucking RAWs.) making them immune to flame? It would be epic to fight flaming Spawn. Seeing as they have hearts of obsidian and all, it makes sense!
