Good luck dood. Oh, and for the people who want to read the screenplay, but not download it, here.

FADE IN:
INT. FORTRESS HALLWAY -DAY
A long dark hallway, small torches are lined along the
walls, flickering and casting shadows across the engraved
walls. Elephants, Cheese, Dwarfs talking and laughing
cover the wall.
A chisel is placed on the wall, in a half completed
engraving of a goblin.
A hammer strikes the chisel three times, adding a line to
the goblins dagger.
The chisel is taken away as NORTH IDASHAVUZ (60) He is
large yet Skinny. His very long sideburns are neatly
combed. His very long moustache is arranged in double
braids. His head is clean-shaven. His lips are thick and
he has low cheek bones aswell as a square chin. A short
sturdy creature fond of drink and industry.
He leans in, blowing dust and chips from the engraving
as....
A horn blows loudly and repeatedly.
Sounds fill the hallway, North's head snaps to the sound
of the horn, before he glances back to the sound working
its way up the hallway.
Ten heavily armed dwarves, each with a large battle axe
and covered head to toe in shiny steel armor bustle there
way up the hallway.
North steps aside as they scream past him.
NORTH
It started lightly...
INT. HALLWAY - LATER
North works at his engraving, more complete than the last
time.
The sound of rustling armor comes down the halls, along
with jovial cheers.
The group of ten, all wielding their axe's above their
heads, cheering with joy splattered in blood.
He looks at them as they come past.
NORTH
Just an ambush, a thief or a
cowardly child snatcher.
INT. HALLWAY
1
North is working on a new engraving.
NORTH
But each time they came back,
they were Less and less... both
life, and limb.
Screaming fills the hallway, North is shocked to see 7
dwarves rushing back down the hallway carrying an 8th,
who is screaming holding onto a squirting and bloody
stump of right arm.
INT. BEDROOM
North lies on his bed, his eye's wide open, the sounds of
screaming and anguish filling the air.
NORTH
It got bad, really bad... The
military was reduced to nothing.
INT. FOOD STOCK ROOM
A vast room of barrels, multiple dwarves reach down for
scraps of meat and cheese.
A dwarf lifts a barrel over his head, a small drop
running into his mouth.
A mother with a screaming baby frantically searches for
food.
NORTH
The stocks where ravaged by the
desperate and trapped civilians.
INT. HOSPITAL
A dwarven soldiers lies wounded, blood covering him, the
bed and his nurses.
We track back to see a two whole rows of beds, dwarves
with various horrific injuries.
They all scream, Nurse dwarves turn and yell towards
frame.
NORTH
Those brave few who fought for
us, lay dying and maimed.
The sound and sights of death and dying are overwhelming.
We turn, to see the chief medical dwarf, Frozen in fear
he stares at the whole scene before rubbing his bald
forehead, smearing it with blood.
INT. BEDROOM

North lies on his bed as...
The door bursts open, CAPTAIN a muscled and grizzled
dwarf stands at his doorway.
North looks up from his bed.
Captain is wearing gnarled and broken Steel armor,
stained with dried blood.
By his side he holds an battle axe.
North stares, reflecting the fighters intensity.
He throws the axe to the ground, clattering and echoing
as it crashed to the hard stone floor.
CAPTAIN
Barracks.
Captain steps out slamming the door.
North slowly slides off his bed, walking over to the
battle axe he takes it up.
He looks at one of the long blades, worn and used, a
fallen dwarves axe.
INT. BEDROOM CORRIDOR.
North walks down the corridor, several other male dwarves
appear from their bedroom's, each armed with a solitary
Axe, fear in each of their eye's.
They silently join forces as they trickle from their
rooms, heading to the barracks.
INT. BARRACKS
North joins dozens of dwarves all cramped into the
fortress barracks, shuffling into the ranks of the
nervous whisperings and whimpers.
All around him, scared and unarmored dwarves, each
wearing civilian garb, each armed with a piece of
recovered weaponry.
At the front of the room, a chest sits next to a large
wall, crude engravings showing the entrance to the fort,
two tunnels leading around the entrance and tunnel either
side of the extra tunnel's.
Captain enters, stern and confident, staring into the
eye's of the shaken ranks of his militia.
The room falls silent on his mere presence.
Captain clambers on top of the chest, looking out over

the sea of civilian soldiers.
He stares out, standing straight and proud, he puffs out
his chest before bellowing in a deep loud voice.
CAPTAIN
Dwarves! Today you fight!
Carpenters, Mason's, Engravers,
Cook's will all fight like a
valiant dwarf should! You will
kill without question, You will
kill without remorse for an enemy
that have butchered us in the
thousands, they wallow in the
blood of your brothers! In the
halls of our once great
settlements! Breeding and
festering amongst the shattered
remains of the people! NOT HERE!
You will fight bravely and to the
end! Your loved ones will escape,
not left to rot in their homes,
not being used and eaten like
cattle! You will free them you!
Craftsdwarf, Woodcutter and
Miner!
He stares out at the crowd sternly, before pointing at
the two tunnels adjacent to the entrance.
CAPTAIN (CONT'D)
We will fill these tunnels, and
at my signal, we will breach the
walls onto the battle field. And
then..... You will run...
Captain stares at them, several dwarves seem shocked at
his order.
CAPTAIN (CONT'D)
You will run not for your lives!
But for the lives of those you
Love! Those too weak or too
dependant to fight, Mothers,
children and the elderly.
Captain points at the large X carved into the engraving.
CAPTAIN (CONT'D)
You will envelop the scum that
sit out side our gates, and you
will kill and you will fight till
the blood on the ground would
drown an elf! When, and only when
you see the last child past the
horizon, do you spare a moment of
your thought for yourself.

INT. BATTLE TUNNEL
North swallows hard, scores of fearful vomiting dwarves.
North stares ahead, trying to block it all out.
NORTH
Nothing could have prepared us.
A dwarves pushes past the others, carrying a large mining
pick.
A horn blasts twice.
Everyone readies their weapons drawing them up into the
air, giving a shaky Roar as they do.
Two miners stand next to the walls, Pick axe's held over
their heads.
A horn blares soundly and continuously. Everyone Roar's.
North breathes heavily as...
The miners break through the wall, it quickly collapsing,
sun light and dust flood into the tunnel.
They all charge, into the light of outside.
North follows behind, the rows ahead disappearing into
the bright light as...
EXT. FORTRESS
North bursts through the gap, his run slows as he stares
at the scene ahead of him.
Hundreds of Goblins, along with dozens of troll's, all
snarling and weilding wicked and deadly looking weaponry.
Their green skin glints in the skin, coated in dwarven
blood.
They snarl widely, gesturing at the two advancing
collum's of Dwarves, their short legs pumping as they
run.
Ahead of North the first wave of Dwarves is engaged by
the savage goblins, slashing and stabbing at their
bodies.
Several dwarves stumble and fall backwards, blood
streaming from their wounds and mouth.
The others fight bravely, wounding several of the
goblins, before they are too struck down.
A wave rushes past North, who is now stationary, staring

at the scene, the bloody battle under a overcast and
threatening sky, the temperate landscape being bathed in
the fires of war.
The wave engages the Goblins fighting hard.
A hand grabs Norths shoulder, pulling him forward. DOC, a
dwarf dressed in Medical gear stands before him, shouting
into his face.
DOC
WE gotta move, cover the top end!
Doc drags him forward, pulling him past the carnage.
North snaps out of it, charging forward with Doc, another
wave of dwarves joing them
They charge past their comrades just as a wave of goblins
attempts to flank the already fighting dwarves.
Doc, North and the others all scream, charging headlong
into the battle.
The two forces collide, all scene of order is lost in the
whirling maelstrom of fighting between the dwarves and
the goblins.
North is confronted with a Goblin, he swings his axe
vertically at the Goblins head.
The goblin dodges to the right, crouching and thrusting a
rusty dagger towards his side, North bent over with the
axe embedded in the ground.
The blow glances of his body, leaving a deep bloody cut,
North screams, reflectively swinging the axe from the
floor as he stumbles back.
The Axe connects with the thin leg of the goblin,
severing it. The goblin lets out a terrible screech.
It crumples to the ground, he looks as it writhes in
pain, behind him a large goblin is walking up, the battle
going on all around the now still North.
North stares at the dying goblin, blood spattered on his
front, the goblin raises its sword above its head as...
Doc pushes North out of the way before raising his own
axe, blocking the attack of the goblin, the two struggle,
pushing against each others weapons.
North, lying on his back stares in horror, the goblin
getting the upper hand on Doc.
North grabs his axe firmly, clambering to his feet he
swings violently at the Goblins side.

The axe sails through the goblin, his chest and stomach
bursting open spraying blood all over Doc.
The goblin slumps to the floor.
Doc looks down at his goblin blood covered body, North is
breathing heavily.
DOC (CONT'D)
Well... its better than it being
Dwarf blood, lets-
Doc is cut short as goblins are thrown aside, as a
monstrous troll bursts through the pack.
North charges right at it, rolling to the left as it
brings a heavy fist to the floor with a loud thud.
He trusts the tips of his Axe into the troll, which
barely flinches.
Behind him, a Goblin runs and engages Doc.
North rolls away and onto his feet, the troll swings a
swipe at him, he swings his axe back, which embeds into
the trolls open swiping hand.
It screams, recoiling and ripping the axe from North's
hand.
It looks down at the panicking and defenceless dwarf and
swipes with its other hand.
North is flung through the air, crashing to the floor a
distance from the battle.
His head is turned away, he opens his eye's for a second,
100 feet away from him women, children, elders and nobles
are all fleeing from the castle.
He coughs, blood coming from his mouth, he rolls over.
The battle rages, dwarves and goblins fighting a dying,
North reaches out, weakly pulling on some soil.
His eye's close.
EXT. FROZEN PLAIN
A blizzard rages around a large wooden waggon, ice
covered dwarves with white frozen beards whip the animals
pulling the waggon.
In the back, under a thick blanket, North lies still and
pale as...
He opens his eye's, coughing and spluttering.

Doc, sitting huddled in a blanket near him springs into
action, jumping to his side.
DOC
Mornin' there.
North stares around, snow getting on his face.
NORTH
What?... Wh-
Doc lays a re-assuring hand on his sholder, pushing him
back down.
DOC
We won pal, well, kind of...
Doc sits back, taking a bottle of dwarven beer from a
crate and passing it to North.
DOC (CONT'D)
Here, You've been on the water
longer than you'd like Im sure.
North takes the bottle, popping the cap and taking a deep
drink.
NORTH
What are we doing in the wastes?
Doc looks around, his face dropping slightly.
DOC
We got chased here, we couldn't
sustain the fight long enough,
the survivors got scattered, the
ones I ended up runnin' with are
all here...
Doc gestures to several huddled figures.
DOC (CONT'D)
Nearly... they stopped chasin' a
while back, only place we are
gonna survive and re group is to
make it hard for them to get
us...
Doc pop's his own bottle of Beer.
DOC (CONT'D)
'Course that means we gotta go
where its hard to survive.
The blizzard starts to clear, and a mountain looms out of
the receding white-out.
Doc spots this and gestures, standing up.

North follows, wrapping his blanket around himself.
Doc smiles, pointing at the mountain.
DOC (CONT'D)
Home sweet home....
