I don't know for certain but there was a group of macs that didn't work try going before 31.12 to see if I'm right.

I usualy use walls and ramps. Every now and then I use floors. But if passble I plan so that I can acces my construction from the inside (no scaffolding).

I had one of my games with only migrants in winter. This was however on an isle. So they would not have been able to spawn anywhere on the map if they would have arrived on a diffrend part of the year.

You can piss of the traders enough so that they will stop trading with you. However from my point of view you can just ignore them and let them stand inside until next year. They don't actually generate any jobs right?

There are 2 groups of trees the first will grow outside on normal soil but won't grow anywhere inside or without soil. These might have grown under your roof but once you build it they will stop growing. The second group only apears if you have opened the caverns and mudied the area. If you have done this then trees will start to grow.

The basic idea is a trading utility. I have seen so many people complain about the trade screen that I wonder why there doesn't seem to be a trader utility yet.
This would be able to filter and sort all goods based on type specific item material quality ect.

I'm not skilled enough to make something like this so maybe someone else could pick it up?

No what I mean is very simple: you start as an adventurer and do al things the average adventurer does. Some quests try to kill the local elfs ext. After you are done you decide that you want a fortress. So you recruit a bunch of companions (or take the once you already have with you) and collect a few items you want in your new fort. Then you embark(well you don't embark you already have to be at the site ext.).

Ofcourse this could quickly grow into a intergraded  caravan or oregon trail mode if you become capable of pulling wagons.

In my experience it does seem to look for the closest dwarf. However I never properly experimented with it. However if I have a lever I need to get pulled and then order it to be pulled again a few seconds after it was pulled the same dwarf will react.
