I'm in a sharing mood:

First is my normal handwriting, next to my rushed scribble:

Spoiler: My two extremes (click to show/hide)

I can do tidier and printier than that, but not usually for long before I forget myself and slip into my normal handwriting.  And the rushed scribble isn't quite a 100% likeness as it wasn't under natural conditions, but close enough.

And this is just some random notes to myself - not rushed, but also not taking any sort of care for others reading it:

I also tried doing some actual proper cursive and it turns out I've forgotten how - I kept tripping over myself and screwing up words completely whenever I got to a letter I don't naturally 'join up'.

I learned cursive in school and I'm fairly sure I wrote that way for most of my youth (I don't think it was strictly required or graded, more just a case of going with what we were taught).

~20 years later I mostly just print, although checking some of my writing I do appear to join up some letters sometimes, particularly when going into an 'e' or out of an 'a'.  My normal writing isn't terribly stylish or pretty, but it's usually quite clear.

The amount my letters join up tends to increase when trying to write quickly and/or taking a rough note to myself.  At the most extreme (usually: minute taking) my normally legible writing turns into a continuous slightly wiggly line with the occasional 'stalk' where a letter like d or p occurs.  I can *mostly* still read it afterwards, just from the vague shape of the words and the context.

Wow, what I'm hearing here about time off in America is making me actually feel pretty good about my crappy job.  I get a total of 37 days of paid leave per year (of which 29 I can choose), plus I'm on flexi-time so in theory I can work late a few days and build up to a day off from that.  I gather people with kids can also take something like 4 weeks of unpaid "parental leave" on top of that if they need to.

For the record, Nullify Resistances is also really, really good.  It'll stop enemies healing from favoured damage types and even if that's not an issue chances are it's going to be a decent damage boost for one or more party members.

The first Dungeon Siege was great, I spent a lot of time in multiplayer with randoms on that one.  My only real complaint about it was the terriblye balance across the spells, too many that just weren't worth even considering with a handful that outshone the rest by a huge margin.

I found the sequel fairly disappointing by comparison (and really didn't like the demo I played of the third one).

Master of Orion 3.
I'm with you on that one.  I'm not even sure I could explain exactly why I liked it, but I found myself enjoying it more than most space 4x's and kept going back to it despite its obvious flaws and unfinished bits.

Thanks, I moreso was thinking "could" than "should"
I should maybe mention, there's one or two things where "could" isn't the case and you will have to come back later before you can complete them.

Third, a certain NPC that sells items that boost your stats and skills refreshes their inventory each time you level up.
Apparently the refreshing has been taken away with one of the recent patches :(

Quote from: Patch v1.0.72
-The seller of secrets now only has 1 ability book and 1 stat book instead of regenerating those

Should I have done everything in the first map before heading into the forest map?
I wouldn't say you need to exhaustively do everything, but it'd be a good idea to clear most of it to ensure you're sufficiently leveled/geared to handle the enemies on the forest map.  Unless you're handling them just fine as it is, in which case bash on.  You can always go back later if you feel the need.

I tried making tablet. I think I did it wrong, it was INCREDIBLY sweet.
That sounds like you did it right to me.

It totally is.  It's also pretty much crystalline diabetes, but that's a minor consideration when it's all melty and sugary in your mouth.

I got an envelope in the internal mail at work today containing a bar of tablet and 2 lollipops.  I kinda knew it was coming, but it still made me grin.

I barely used potions on my playthrough (completed it today, yay), I didn't like how short their durations were.

For the that area I mostly used haste spells to counter the slow effect and the Geomancer shield spell (Earth Shield? I forget the name) for the hefty poison resist and bonus hitpoint pool.  They're short durations too (everything is :-\), but I felt they gave more bang for my action point bucks.

Also might be worth returning at a later level depending when you're tackling it - I first encountered that area around level 11 (I thought the mines were in there) and trying to fight through it at that level was a major slog.

Which one's Rapture?  Is that the ranger charm spell? If so, sure, I've had it work.  You'll want to either have very high dex or debuff the target's willpower for anything close to consistent success with it though.
