General Discussion / Re: Things that made you go "WTF?" today o_O

Unrelated, I threw a record on earlier to facilitate work. I had to remove my 45 adapter to do so but this did not register in my distracted mind. On goes the BTO vinyl.

Hearing a lady sing a bright and chipper version of Average Man was when I realized my mistake.
Sounds like it would turn out like this: Tim Akkerman singing Nemo by Nightwish for Floor Jansen

That reads a lot like the government's intention was that as many people, especially poor people as possible would get sick and die.
This is a surprise to you?

Got my imaging results back. It's a lot of info, so I'm once again putting it in a spoiler for everyone's sanity.

What caused it, if you don't mind my asking?
It? That's a biiiiiig question. So I don't clutter the thread, I'm going to put the answer in a spoiler.

I have at least two more surgeries pending. On Tuesday, I go and get a buttload of imaging done. Neck, upper back, lower back again, hips. My SI joints (where your spine meets your pelvis,) are both falling apart, my labrums may be seriously damaged, and I have good reason to believe that my second set of screws are rejecting again. One day, when I can sit up long enough to do a decent amount of work, I'll start a Patreon page and write RPG scenarios for my little world...so that I can pay some medical bills down.

Was able to sit up long enough to work on my absolutely epic random item table. It's not done yet, but I can't wait to see it in action.^_^

Gilbert Gottfried Audiobook or GTFO

Also, whoever played The Nanny.
That would be Fran Drescher. Her normal voice is very strange to hear once you're conditioned to hear her comedy voice.

I could walk mostly without pain yesterday, and with no noticeable pain today. It's an xmas miracle.
Dude, nice! Those days are always cause to celebrate.

My dad is here and has busted out his guitar, and now my housemate is jamming with him. That's pretty cool and all and I actually feel rather proud to have such a talented father, but I still loathe myself for not playing an instrument.
No real reason not to, either. I'm just useless.
Should be happy times but instead I'm having a Big Sad.
Dude, you have the perfect opportunity to pick up an instrument. You live in the Age of Information! You want to learn to play something, anything? Hit up YouTube. Want to learn to play guitar or bass? Pick up Rocksmith 2014 for the real-life guitar hero lessons. You don't have to be serious about an instrument or even talented to jam, you just have to pick it up and make noise. Eventually, you'll make some noise that sounds kinda decent, and when you can repeat that, you've become a musician.

Simple solution: Teach your kids to drink with you!

Worked for my dad, works with my son.
Eeeeeeehhhhh...she's 11, so I think that's out.

Had 3 rum'n'cokes and two muscle relaxers tonight, each triple-ish shots. I really enjoy being absolutely fuckin' hammered when I'm alone.

Am I ok? I'd like to think so. But I dunno. I love my girlfriend and my kids and I don't want to fail them...but every once in a while I just want to get smashed. I'm out of pain killers again, so this is how Imma sleep tonight. I hope.

Last I heard fires were over thanks to widespread flooding, but people had to fight crocodriles off their backyards. Is it still so?
This is the most Australian shit I've ever read.
