DF would get the highest rating due to the "killing children" aspect. And it wouldn't be sold in Wal-Mart or GameStop because of that.  And, unfortunately, some politician would probably attempt to use it as a stepping-stone for their careers, and it would be "made an example of" to all the other game developers and hobbyists.
I'd like to watch them show screenshots of the game on mass media.

make your embark have 8 dorfs, 4 male 4 female,  and make them build their own houses, own furniture, food, pets (gl), ect

there will be a communal workshop area

when migrants come, make then build thier own houses, any odd numbers will be culled

i had one big dump/quantum stockpile for all my raw materials, and finished goods, in the center of my room full of every workshop available

only things i did not dump was food booze armor weapons ammo and animals

this has probably come up a million times, but i still build open areas no larger than 6 tiles in any one direction (length or width) based on the old 2D cavein rules.

A good personal rule - I like the concept of building large, open areas as some sort of gothic archetecture with arches...

Hmm... Next fortress, I'm definitely taking the time/wasting the space to make some grand, multi-z-level hallways where I make "arches" and have rows of columns, and have a really, stupidly grand set of mead hall, lord's court, and royal court.



i made my dining hall a 5-z level oval dome, with the stills, kitchen ,fisheries, and butcher shops in the top 4
 
i lost alot of good dwarves making that dining hall..
damn caveins..

pfft, your dwarf is a sissy, one of my  war dog trainers (thats the best army i have) went after a giant toad no armor no weapon, while maiming it along with the 20 dogs it somehow bit off his hand,

the badass part is he didnt go into shock, didnt go to the hospital, did not do a damned thing except continue beating the shit out of this toad

after it was dead he did not go to the hospital, he never went to the hospital

he probably got a drink, damned dwarves

it seems as if roads and bridges are irrelevant to barons
i have 2 1x2 bridges hooked to levers to close off the caverns
no roads
liason asked me if i want a baron
i picked an eligible dawrf
i got a baron
years later i found a screen where i needed roads for the king
the roads did not touch the edge of the map, far from it
the two bridges i made did not count for road value
i made 1 10x10 raod of gold for extra value, and one more to reach the limit i needed
i met the offerings needed to get the king, after that i was not even able to offer items to the dwarven caravan
i easily met the architecture requirementi was, incidentally, built near a mountain

in DF a telsa coil is actually a conductor rod with a bunch of elves strapped to it
