Well, it's not !!SCIEN!!tific, but I've always felt like skilled marksman were more accurate.

137
At least that would be interesting.
Instead of another bout of "Alright, who got bit? Off to the atom smasher."

Dear squad, The Clubs of Earth,
You guys are supposed to have full armor coverage. We have enough armor to do it.
This is the third time one of you guys have been bitten by a werebeast on uncovered arms or feet. Notice how they can't get teeth through iron?
The next time one of you starts growing fur, I'm sending him on a lone mission to get me random artifacts from the goblins and elves.

139
Because a squad of 8 marksdwarves used 250 steel bolts shoot one goblin, once.
Along with some bronze and plenty of wood.

Hey hey hey, cancel that.
It seems--at least the civ screen--was because I had updated and my interface file hadn't upgraded properly. Copy that elsewhere, cut-paste the new one in, civ screen looks good.
Of course, now I'm going to have to go back in and change some keybindings again. Grr.

Alright, yeah, bumping this up to the makers.
Took off TWBT mode, tried a couple different graphics, even ACII, same thing.
Bet the next update to the LNB will fix that. Not like I've used display cases or paid much attention to the world before.

A dozen or so fortress ago, snipped straight from the squad screen...

Dear Urists McCrossbowdwarfs,
I have no idea why you prefer to spend all your time wrestling instead of target practice, and while that may have made some of you good dodgers and otherwise less-than-terrible wrestlers, I didn't draft you guys for your strength.
Plus, you're still awful marksdwarfs.
So I'm taking it out of your booze budget to replace all the steel bolts you wasted during that last siege, in which you shot exactly one goblin. In the leg.

My search-fu failed me.
The most recent PC pack didn't offer the option; I assume it's 64-bit.
I didn't change the graphics settings, so it defaults to Phoebus 16x I believe. In TWBT mode, if it matters.

Noticed it with the new civilization screen, but also with display cases.
At the bottom, where it says 'You civilization,' 'world', etc., and in a couple other new menus, the commands that would have letters beside them to open them just have a green ?, so I can't do anything.
Bug? Issue with raws? Using Peridexis LNB 44.02-r04.

If that's true, I might consider the delivery of injury to be a good enough motivation to climb.
If I get another chance, I'll try flooring over the walls, too.
Unfortunately I'm a season or two past, now. He bit (and killed) a couple more fisherdwarves, then shotput a cat and followed it into a pond just before transforming back to dwarf. Problem solved, I guess.

Diagonally up? I haven't checked in a while, but I thought walls included a a floor above. So with a floor in the center above, there shouldn't have been a gap.
He wasn't able to move diagonally on ground level. The busing was a full square.

Fort got attacked by a werejaguar. I hate werebeasts, what with the biting and such.
Thankfully the only dwarf that got bit (and didn't immediately die) got spinal damage. Down for the count, until the full moon.
So while he's down, I have the others wall him in. A single space within a wooden walls, and I floor over the empty hole at the top.
The full moon comes by, I expect a trapped werejaguar... and he's chasing cats and fisherdwarves outside it.
Do they move, regardless of blockages, when they transform? I'm puzzled here.

Dear Urist McExMiner,

I know you liked digging and you're sulking because I gave your pick to an otherwise useless immigrant, but you're the only furnace operator and smith we brought with us.
You do not have 'no job.' You have furnaces and a smithy to build. Stop slacking.

Re: Urist McEVERYBODY.
After putting out an all-dwarves notice to let you burn and smelt stuff, you're all still keeping a wide berth from the waiting construction.
Nothing is forbidden, you're all walking right past them to pick up rocks, there are plenty of you ignoring work altogether.
You're dwarves. What do you have against furnaces and smelters? Get working.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Mining == Masonry for Artifacts

I thought I remembered miners making stone crafts, but last night I had my (already 99% to legendary) miner make a quern, so I can confirm that.
