Other Games / Re: Payday 2 plan your heist well

I joined the group a while ago, entered the chat room, I was hoping people might organize some groups inside the chatroom so we can have some really good groups going. I enjoy using Mastermind so I'm happy to host missions and spending money to get the assets to make heists much easier for everyone.

Is there a steam group for the Bay 12 Payday 2 players?

I'd be happy to join some people, I've shot up so many levels and it's just my first day playing the game.

I am aware that it is crazy long, but this is the most amazing D&D story that I have ever heard.

I am halfway through this and my mind was blown an 1/8th of the way through.

We all rolled nat 20's. My DM was quite floored, and since we had been playing a very religious campaign, she had each of our divine beings appear in front of us and smite the whole lot of enemies. At that point the holy symbols we wore began to glow for the rest of the campaign.

Later in that campaign, we were about to clear out a cave of kobolds, and as a joke we touched our holy symbols together. Our DM made her DM roll and hit a nat 20, so she had an epic holy beam of amazing holy righteousness shoot into the cave and instantly kill everything inside. Except one kobold who ran outside and threw himself upon our mercy. We naturally took him with us, and eventually we trained him enough to become our Keep Commander.

Twas a silly place.

Your DM is a great one, never let her go.

Who else got the game that wants to share their experience? I'm considering trying out a heavy psychic cause I hear they're interesting to use.

Ugh, I just lost a character I've been working on for hours just because I couldn't find the room where the final encounter was supposed to happen. I was already at the deepest floor but the layouts of the maps are just terrible.

What is why a review where the reviewer outright admits that he never got more then half and hour into the game isn't too helpful.

A lot of the time the true dynamics of the game only shine forth once you actually get somewhere.

I don't know what exactly you're pointing out, but to clarify, I mean terrible as in cruel instead of anything quality wise. I thought I had plenty of time since I went for the basement with more than half of the time slots left but the basement maps have a lot of dead ends, both figurative and literal.

Got this game to satisfy my arkham horror craving since solitaire arkham just gets boring after quite some time.

I'm really enjoying how complex the game can get, I'm playing on easy mode though,(for shame) so it's funny to walk down the basement punching out lovecraftian horrors and exploding their minds with my own instead of the other way around for a change.

I'm not necroing this, am I?

I was the dwarf and I got the cursed sword 1 in my first multiplayer game. Tried to do the jump attack trick but I kept getting hurt. I hope that I'm just rusty and they didn't just take that out. Sadly, I accidentally switched characters after dying to the red dragon, losing the sword. :(

The cleric wasn't turning undead, please turn undead clerics, there's no bonus to actually fighting those skeletons!

Anyone have this game yet and want to team up?

I was eagerly awaiting the thread for this topic to show up, but it looks like I must do it myself.

Anyone who's gone to the arcade in the past should recognize this, I can't wait to get started on this game tonight.

Loaded up HM, started a game as Koishi against Byakuren, figured that the controls would be similar to SWR. Was proven wrong immediately, when all I was able to do was wave my arms about like a lunatic and periodically shoot out an attack of some sort. Despite basically randomly mashing the keys I used in SWR, I somehow managed to win easily.

Koishi does what she wants when she wants to, you only advise her on what to do.

The Humble Bundle should cover any and all "Need a game on Steam" problems. Unless you don't have a credit card/paypal/etc.

... wait a second! Maybe there IS a use to all these Dota 2 passes I have! PM your info when possible, good sir.

Only 8 minutes to respond to one of my crazy vague design threads? What kind of place is this? Takes hours at most places and its all posts saying how vague I am and how no one can answer a question with that little info.

Welcome to bay12 forums, my favored place to read great discussions regarding gaming.

Back on topic though.

... Darn I don't really have much to say that hasn't been said already... uh, make sure there are filters if you go for full player control? Like filter the distance of the citizen to be recruited, filter minimum stats needed for certain classes?

That said, are you interested in making a topic of this game itself? It sounds like it could be really fun to discuss.
