Yellow II will have to leave men behind to watch those prisoners since they have no way to restrain them.
I'm gonna feel bad for this, but ... kill them.
No!
Just leave maybe 3 or so people to watch them!
We took their guns.
Getting rid of those three guys to watch them will take away from the already rather small force we have to take the town though, those three guys could be the difference between all of our guys dying or some of them dying.

Aileen smirked as Valerian began to create opportunities for his own House. She had barely been in the Imperial Court for a week at most, and the speed at which others began to try and turn everything in their favor was somewhat comforting, at last she had a field of battle that didn't involve her getting shot at by some idiots who didn't realize that falling under the banner of House Salyar was the only prosperous choice.

"It would be an honor for one of my house to marry into the Imperial Family. However I have only my first daughter, and a cousin who would eligible for marriage. My sweet Mona has been promised to Issradi of House Azores, if one of your brothers would seek to marry Ryanne she would be most pleased for certain. The simple honor of getting to marry a sibling of the Emperor himself, it is the greatest honor my daughter could ever wish for."

------

"It would seem we both agree on that then, the marriage between Mona of House Salyar and Issradi of House Azores will be a greatly celebrated event by the people of Si'kar I should think. We've seen enough tragedy, and little enough happiness in the recent decades. What do you say Seralt, shall we start the preparations at once or should we wait for the oh, so holy Church to deem it a .... hmm how would those idiots put it? A 'moment from the very depths of Hell' worthy of the union of a Heretical House with House Azores?"

As Aileen finishes she lets out a short laugh, the marriage would be worth it that was for sure. Its been a full twelve years since she last got to shoot a member of the Church after all ...

Have Achutei find a glassmaker.
We need Achutei for the crucible, and we can't really afford to put Thulataru as lead for any projects considering we lose all of his bonuses when he works.

To clarify, you do not "spend" science and manufacturing. The council's values affect what goes on for random events and rolls, while leaders create an "income" for whatever project they are assigned to.

So a 10 Adm leader will provide 10 points per turn for an Adm project.
Oh, alright I'll remove those bits real quick. Thanks for the clarification :)

Also, I have no idea where you got "you just set both of your brains calculating the information and input from two brains at once" from. There's nothing that suggests that MIUs work by making a digital model of the thing you are linked to and making that model run. It'd likely just be a slower and more inefficient method of transferring data between individuals, which the Mechanicus already has plenty of ways to do.
Dreadnoughts and titans being the common places where MIUs are used comes from the very first tabletop rulebook, so yeah that particular bit has possibly changed since then considering the massive time gap :P

Some of the supported lore for MIUs says that you get info like 'barrel temperature', and a bunch of crazy stuff like that, but that's for when its connected to weapons so I'm probably assuming to much from that little bit.

Projects!
Pierce the Heavens Part A - Truly the most important of tests, those fools are clearly wrong on the effects of gravity dropping off! Our planet is the center of everything so surely everything must fall towards it.  +5 Anth, it shall be lead by Orthek. Enough full-time workers will be hired to carry out this job.

Flammable Air Part A - This could be the key to advancing the field of alchemy greatly, to bottle this 'flammable air' would give our alchemists the ability to bring with them an easy source of fire and recreate more for widespread use! +30 Anth, it shall be lead by Borli

Explosive Recompression Part A - This man's designs belong to the entire race of Agoran not just himself, we must endeavor to make it available to the people. +10 Anth, lead by Hathlag

The Crucible, Part A - A new, better method of producing iron could revolutionize the entirety of Agoranian production, and manufacturing not to mention have far-reaching results on our progress to reach the star above and the trio moons of our world. +20 Anth, led by Achutei.

Heres another question, would a MIU be able to connect to, say, a cities communication system?
They'd be able to yeah. Lore wise MIU's can even let tech-priests interface directly with things as vast and powerful as the Ark Mechanicus ships which are essentially mobile forge worlds though actually handling such connections are difficult since the larger and more complex a machine or vehicle the greater its machine-spirit becomes.

Mechanics wise interfacing with tech, and machines with the MIU only gives +10 to certain kinds of tests. Tech use and Operate for Common. Tech Use, Operate, Logic, Inquiry, and Ballistic Skill with a Good quality MIU. It would be entirely up to Avis on whether he wants to bother with some kind of willpower tests for surviving contact with vast machines, and whether anything you interface is actually strong enough, or large enough to warrant such.

624
Oh, I think those of us with a MIU (myself, possibly our techpriest) can talk to eachother via them.
MIUs really don't work that way. They connect a person's brain to technology, they can't connect two people's brains together and to attempt to do so would probably have severely bad effects because you just set both of your brains calculating the information and input from two brains at once. The most common usage of MIUs is to allow the near-dead Astartes to control the dreadnoughts from within their walking coffins, and to allow tech-priests and the pilot of a Titan to better interface with such a massive warmachine. (Though the pilot has a much more complex version, and is probably wired directly into it instead of wireless.) Not to mention that among MIUs wireless MIUs are exceedingly rare, so its unlikely anyone aside from tech-priests and dreadnoughts would have them.

Huh, you're probably right. I did consider nominating entierly in the opposite direction...

I also wonder if I could Parry with my bolt pistol? Sure, it'd probably shatter and never be repaired, but it's not like I'll hit anything with it anyway.
You'd be surprised, bolt pistols are surprisingly sturdy weapons. Commissar weapons need to be able to survive both firing, and pistol whipping because sometimes, just sometimes a good old fashion pistol whipping is more effective than a bolt round.

Barig was quick to reply to the new arrival,

"Things are going as well as one might expect for an uncharted, probably dangerous world. The soil is different, the plants foreign, and the feel of the world is off but its still better than what we had before coming here. Given some time I can found a settlement here though I wish I'd seen where the others landed, what brings you here Fang?"

------

Leadership Action: Have the people begin setting up farms, and begin planting as soon as possible.
Magic Action: Continue raising the wall around the area with the Stonesingers.

628
"Of course I would be committed to such a project, anything to repair Si'kar so that my people are no longer forced to live in caves and bunkers because the surface is a death sentence to any who without enclosed habitats. As for these worlds you're offering me, I want none of them. They are not the worlds of our system, they are not the worlds that my people have looked to in the skies knowing that their families would one day sit upon. If you want to give me worlds my Lord then give me Sigma I, Sigma II and its moons, and the asteroid fields of Soma System. Give to us what is only my peoples birth rights, or 'give' us nothing.

From what I've heard you've traded away these planets that the people of Si'kar have rights to, I mean no offense your Majesty but we lived on Si'kar long before Al'hazar, or any other House aside from Nova itself. The other Houses have no rights to settle there as the people of Si'kar, House Nova, and House Salyar do. Don't offer me worlds that are systems away when there are those so near, and the right of my House that you could give in their stead."

--------------

"Oh where to start ... Lets see, there is my wonderful firstborn daughter Ryanne. She has a penchant for involving herself in businesses that others might find of questionable morality, but she does it well and it seems to fit her desire for dueling that has gotten her into so much trouble recently. She was actually wounded somewhat severely in a recent court duel by one of your own house if I remember correctly, one Ranult Azores which was quite surprising. I've not seen her lose many duels except to Keela, and that one fights like a woman possessed by some animal.

As for the second that would be my precious Mona, she's got a spot of luck more than the rest of our House if I had to be honest. She's probably the most likely to handle a marriage well, she's far less likely to go running off to duel everyone who so much as glances at her, I'd honestly prefer it if she were to marry your family since I always have the constant fear Ryanne's going to get herself killed in one of her damned duels ..."

629
"That would be simple enough, but terraforming won't be enough to restore Si'kar especially not given the fact that the current political climate is far from sound given that House Nova is likely wary of Salyar and its connections with Cr'tok. We might repair the planet my lord, but unless Si'kar is under one power block strife, and dissent will be rampant. So long as two major powers exist on Si'kar the world will never know a prosperous peace, my lord."

Aileen looked at Valerian with a glint in her eyes, she wouldn't ask it of the Emperor directly, but House Nova was a thorn in Salyar's side. A thorn that needed to be removed so that the true rulers of Si'kar may sit the throne ...

-----------

"Hmmm, I believe at least two of my daughters would be interested in such a marriage, Mona or Ryanne one would be more than happy to accept such a marriage I'm sure. Heh, the best part of it is before I joined the imperial domain I almost wished I'd had a few boys instead of daughters, but now as cruel as it seems my daughters are the best tool House Salyar has to work with Seralt. There was a lord on Si'kar long ago when House Nova was still small that said, 'To have fallen so low, and yet still be so far above the rest is to know the true nature of man.' Its a sad truth I must agree."

Magic Action:
With the five Stonesingers in tow begin using earth magic to create a solid wall around a vest stretch of land large enough to support several full scale farms, and a dozen buildings or so. Use the ship, and any nearby hills to cut down on the amount of work required.

Leadership Action:
Have the Ore Surveyor setup so that we can begin getting immediate knowledge of any minerals in this area.

----

Remember, your leadership action has to be in one giant block. You can't order half of them to do one thing and half to do another.
So we can't order a farm to be built, and a mine started in the same turn?
