Yeah it just seems that I read it right when you posted the reply.

Okay now as I try to play it, I found that the area for me is:
Temperature:HOT
Trees:SPARSE

So basicly, its not the same, and the ocean part is brown sometimes when I try it, and blue othertimes. Apparently, my game is messing up terribly, but I dont know what to fix.

Does anyone else have the same problem when genning the world?  I've had a private message back-and-forth with Carcanken.  He has tried with 0.31.16 and 0.31.18, mayday set, pheobus set.  He has aquifiers turned off in the raws, but so do I.

So when I get to use it, the ocean that is near the embark site is brown, and sometimes the layers shows nothing similar, and aswell as it being HOT or SCORCHING, and the river looks extremely different from the one in your picture.

Ideas?

I've noticed in two forts now that I can't seem to pry my broker-turned-baron away from his break when the caravans show up.  Unlucky streak or do they fob you off once they're promoted?

Okay, I did that, so when I try to create that world, I get a LACK OF VOLCANOS error.

Should have read the instructions :)

Ignore the error.  It should generate on attempt 508.

Quick question
How would I use the world_gen.txt? I havent added a save from another person using it.
Copy-paste the contents into the end of your world_gen.txt, located in your data/init folder.  Generate a custom world and select the new one at the bottom.

I ended up embarking 3x3 and obsidian still makes it in, btw. :)

soil layer:     ###         ###   <- dug out, just leaving the cieling
aquifier layer: ####~~~~~~~####   <- channeled aquifier the same size as the plug
stone layer:    ###############   remove the final support and it should plug it

You might need another soil layer to create an actual plug made of walls, rather than just a cieling, I'm not sure.

If it's not in a soil layer, you'll need to enmuddy it.

I believe that surface plants require actual soil now, no muddy stone.

I recently (31.18) set up a surface plot in a rock layer, it required me to muddy it but was fine after that
