The glassmaking industry has started with 1 dwarf whom I nicknamed "Glassy."

I do the EXACT same thing for my chief glassmaker!

Also, new fort had two of my 7 die to stupid cave-ins (dammit urist channel properly!) but managed to baricade myself in before the goats got too feisty. Also turns out my river acts as a natural moat, completely bisecting the map. Need to bridge tat because my migrants keep coming on the opposite side.

I don't like muddying my farm area with a flood of water. I prefer to build irrigation catwalks a z-level above, and then designate the area as a pond. A lot less messy.

Ohmygoodness is that all blood? That is a VERY dwarven farm.

I think the strangulation was caused by one of the creatures surviving the initial impact but their throat was crushed, so they suffocated shortly afterward.

I usually only recruit dwarfs who have skill in some sort of weapon beforehand anyways. If I'm lucky I get a nice mix. If not well, FUN times when I get some creature that all my dwarfs are incapable of harming.

Assuming the larger waterfall in the north and the smaller waterfall in the west. Is the big river flowing clockwise or counter-clockwise? I'm assuming clockwise.
