I agree with what majestic said, Honor guard would remain the only individuals while the rest are squad based, maybe command squads as well depending.

But I agree it would certainly be alot easier to manipulate in that sort of manner.

Just to note, on going Renegade/Heretic. It'd be very fluffy if your chapter had internal strife once the player makes that choice. Whatever the reasons, when it comes to leaving the Imperium, battle brothers within the Chapter are rarely in lock step about their opinions of it. It becomes a real test of faith and loyalty; whom do you truly serve? Your chapter and your chapter master, or the Imperium and the God Emperor?

While this is a great idea, at the same time I feel this should also come about when you are able to split off smaller chapters from your own into new foundings.

That way you can include renegades splitting from your chapter, loyalty divided grumblings and those leaving as a result, chapter chaos (not of the God's variety), and of course creating new successor chapters.

With modifications based on what sort of chapter you are (Dark angels still being interconnected, Black Templar just creating new crusades etc.)

Renegade should be a subtle change, the loss of aquila's or such based on HOW you renegade, some renegades just serve the emperor in a different way after all.

Chaos should be when it gets more off.

He seems like a good offensive midfielder, the only other one really had was McCree and he's mostly a primary duelist.

Oh the voice lines were the best, many of the early one's are quite memorable and the DoW2's while toned down were pretty good as well.

Psykers are horribly overpowered anyway. You are bound to have a broken power that will negate all damage or something crappy like this.

I had to nerf them in my game and a friend playing Dark Heresy had a psyker player who survived all the other PC until going insane.

Dark Heresy had the strongest psykers when they weren't TPK'ing your party. You could get them to the point where they would be strong enough to one hand a lascannon, ballistic skill where they can shoot a headshot everytime, and with some extra power they could get nearly unlimited 10's.

I can't honestly remember which one had the weakest. I think that was Deathwatch till they did the Errata that nerfed the heavy bolter from god-mode.

What sets Deathwatch apart from regular Space Marine purge and cleanse is that, typically, the threat is major but not widespread, and the Inquisition wants to keep it quiet. So imagine them like the Special Ops of today's America, only for Space Marines. Deathwatch members aren't supposed to talk about what they've seen and done, mostly because everyone else not an Inquisitor or a member of Death Watch tends to get mind-wiped after being part of such expeditions.

So like, quickly and covertly taking out a Genestealer Primarch or Chaos Daemon that has infiltrated the highest level of Imperial government, that sort of thing. General rule of thumb is if it's reached the point of open conflict and everyone is aware of the threat, it's already too late to bring in the Deathwatch and you're now in your standard 40k armed conflict.

Depending, you also get the obvious reinforcing tasks, dealing with incursions, heading in to steal/discover Xenos Technology, and overall reinforcing a 40k Conflict as armed support on the battlefield. They are pretty much a jack of all trades when it comes to use, in that they will often do whatever is necessary to get the job done, including requisitioning other Chapters or Guard regiments like inquisitors.

Also radiation is very different in this setting than in reality.  It's one reason everything is nuclear-powered.  Heck, I don't think ghouls are a result of FEV...  Just magic radiation doing weird nonsense.  A lot of them were turned when the bombs dropped, long before the FEV started spreading.  AFAIK.

You are right, I had forgotten there's only one known F.E.V ghoul and that was Harold...And considering what eventually happened to him, I don't think he could be considered a standard ghoul either.

To be fair it's not just the Radiation, it's the fact that the radiation tends to be infused with FEV as well, typical radiation does not tend to turn people into Ghouls.

Except it would still be 100+ years after the war.

So even then it still looks pretty wrong.

Unless of course there's a philosophical idea that those in Washington D.C, even their future descendants can't do anything while those in more robust area's are able to build up and create a new nation from the ashes while those in an area such as D.C are unable to let go of the past and thus are unable to let themselves be brought up from the ruins.

But I might be overthinking it a bit.  :D

I think the problem is that Fallout 3 looked like it was 20+ years after the war, rather then something like 100+

They changed the date and suddenly it made little sense.

My problem with the DC wasteland is that it's still pretty much a full wasteland over 130+ Years with everyone scrounging leftovers from the broken buildings.

I mean only a few people have decided to even TRY to make some semblance of a constructed town rather then living in ruins.

X-com Apocalypse you could tell was rushed for various reasons or other. It was a pity because many of the concepts behind it sound incredibly awesome if they had been done properly and fleshed out.

I think they just upped the destruction to make everything look cooler, just as every shot was one hit-kill.

They did mention they increased the standard destruction rate because they don't want people just turtling in one spot for a good period of time.
