The first time I quit a job I was actually in tears (it was more of a "you can't quit you're fired/you can't fire me I quit" type thing, though).

All the ones proceeding that were kinda awkward actually, since I'm extremely non-confrontational. "Uh... I'd like to quit. Please?"

I'll pop in to note that any working system of guaranteed income needs to not have any exploitable breakpoints. No extra dollar you earn should have an overall negative impact.

A lot of the problems with our current welfare systems/etc is that once you start earning past some arbitrary breakpoint, you suddenly lose out on a lot of benefits. So people are encouraged to hover just below it, when we should always be encouraging people to work more.

Doesn't the monarchy bring in a lot of tourism? I seem to recall hearing they make the a net profit just by existing and showing up places.

There are methods appropriate to every situation. You don't have to use fellatio to solve everything.

Our dimorphism is rather low compared to most apes. The differences are mostly irrelevant; no matter what you can do well, there's at least one man and one woman who can kick your ass at it (barring a few very specific things, like baby-making).


Anyway, wasn't this discussion about wage disparity apologists? Or was it about how feminism "isn't needed" these days? I'm certain we can rack up the misinformed sexism rather quickly if we stay on one of those tangents. I'd rather talk about something else though... Equal opportunity objectification was a fun topic; I want more man candy (though with a decent character to go with it).
