You know what? I'm gonna go to sleep. When I get back, I'll assume you'll have figured out what is so incredibly stupid about your argument, or I'll tell you for you. I, however, can't think straight while tired.
Right. In the meantime, you should probably answer my question, because nothing pisses me off more then someone refusing to answer my serious questions.

I'm NOT intentionally provoking him. Do you not understand? There is not too extremes here. I did not provoke him, but I also did not baby him. I told him the truth. Does the truth hurt? Probably, but I'm not trying to grab scumtells off of it.
You can tell him the truth without:
you are the idiot

Because, hmm, I didn't? CORRECT ANSWER, WEBADICT!

or did you just realize now you're a sack of lie-spewing garbage?

BRAIN-DEAD MORON!
AKA, being a huge asshole. Or, another way to say that, intentionally provoking him.

I'm not his mother. If he's angry, then that is HIS problem, not mine. He didn't see how the game evolved. I did. So, I told him. I'm not trying to get him to drop scumtells. I'm trying to make him realize his arguments are terrible. Because they are. His anger is making him stupid.

His anger? That is his problem to deal with. I'm not a counselor. I'm not a relative. I'm some guy on the internet. I realize this is SRS BSNS, but grow up.
That isn't answering my question at all. Why are you intentionally provoking him?

Wesnoth is fun. I just don't play it much anymore.

Oh wow, check this out:

http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Top_Notch and a related blog post

The TF2 Team are absolute Minecraft fanboys.
Awesome.
Best thing to ever happen to Notch? Probably.

Long story short I'm not even going to bother anymore, NUKE gets a permavote for the rest of the game. I don't even care anymore.
This is so very, incredibly productive Person. Go cool off and come back when you feel like rescinding this.

Webadict: Why are you trying to make him angrier? That's not going to solve any problems. In fact, that's just going to make him drop more scumtells regardless of what team he's on. So why are you intentionally provoking him?

As to the show itself? Why do you want to avoid it so badly? It's not as sugary as you might think it would be. (the intro gave me diabetes once though). (I got better.) I have only seen 1 episode, and I didn't find it as amazing as many people claim it is, but the art was pretty good, and like I said, it wasn't so sugary as to be nauseating. I wouldn't watch another one on my own though.
The theme alone is enough to turn me away. I was playing as an admin on an ss13 server, and the head admin continually spammed the MLP theme to the point of me getting it stuck in my head. It was incredibly annoying and having it stuck in my head bordered on traumatizing.

Then it injects itself into nearly everything I do. It's in TF2, DF(somewhat), some of my friends talk about it, and I still go on that server sometimes.

It's because the pony thing is relatively new so it's still at the front of the cultural consciousness. People get angry and annoyed at whatever is particularly popular at the moment and right now it's MLP. Although, I gotta admit I'm not really fond of the fanbase either.
There's also that.

The magic system in BGII is much better than DA's, in my opinion. More spells, better spells, and more options.
Also, the companions you can add to your party feel much more real than Dragon Age's, even though the graphics are worse.
Also there's no 'mana' system like all these modern RPGs feel they need to restrict your spellcasting with. And there's no cooldown system either. Spells are restricted by how many you can cast per day/have memorized, and that's it.

You should play BGII with it's expansion pack, just to play as a wild mage. It's not necessarily the most useful type of mage, but it's freaking hilarious. Cast a fireball, watch it turn into a healball! Cast Knock, suddenly a bunch of squirrels appear! Of course, I tend to spam Nahal's Reckless Dweomer, so I get more spell effects.

I didn't play through the first for a couple of reasons:
1.The engine is slower.
2.I couldn't be arsed to go through the tutorial when I already know how to play games in this style.
3."HI! I'M IMOEN!"

They made her much more tolerable in the second game.

Was it any good? I've heard about it a lot, and was torn between buying it or Homeworld when I was a kid, but I somehow never got around to really finding out how good it was.

Is it worth the effort of an ebay scouring to find a good deal, or can I find it somewhere else? I had assumed it was still selling somewhere, so I hadn't been quite willing to resort to more buccaneer methods.

Sooo.. Any comments on the game? Any major mods that are needed/highly reccomended? Can I even run the game on a 64-bit system, or will I need to work some voodoo magic?
Three words.

PLAY. THIS. GAME.

Words cannot express how awesome this game is.

RPGs like Baldur's Gate II. They just don't make them that awesome anymore. The closest approximation is Dragon Age, and it's far from the same.

What's the pony hate for? Is it because it's a show for little girls? Is it because it's a cartoon? Is it because you secretly just hate everything good and pure in the world? (don't worry, I have that last one too).
Secretly? No.

Honestly, I hate it because even though I want to avoid it, avoiding it is impossible. And I want to avoid it because I don't want to watch the show. The community around it is just so...
Twisted? I think that's an accurate word.

So wait, there are people who have yet to realize that TF2 and MLP have a massive shared fanbase?
I keep wondering how MLP shares a fanbase with TF2. It really confuses me.

Quite apart from that, the one person in a crowded building who keeps shouting is going to be a lot more noticable than the fifty that don't. For the most part, we keep to our own communities for the stuff that really pisses people off (for some reason). Getting angry over avatars and sprays seems like a bit much; do they bother you more than the racist, sexist and homophobic sprays that seem to be in half the servers of every source game? Do they bother you more than the practically omnipresent pron sprays?
I've never seen any of those. And porn spray just sounds wrong.

On a recurring note: People who walk in groups and spread out to fill the entire corridor/sidewalk/etc., and then walk at a glacially slow pace. Especially when the on a pedestrian bridge over a busy road. GRAH.
Oh gods I hate that so much. I AM TRYING TO WALK SOMEWHERE REALLY FAST, GET OUT OF MY WAY YOU SLACKERS!

1004
Ponies.
WHY ARE YOU EVERYWHERE!?
I go into TF2. Enter my favorite server, there are about nine MLP avatars, and a spray on the battlements. I quit right then and there.
Go to another server, see less MLP avatars(but they're still there), but more sprays.
Repeat ad nauseam.

Of course, then I come and complain about it here. Nice thinking, Orange.

Mafia / Re: Ockham's Mafia Thread 2 - Game Over

...Doh.

I protected him because I had a bad read of the game and I semi-randomly picked him to protect because I figured someone would be better than no one.  I kinda had him as town, but not very well.  I didn't figure that someone would be vigging.
What.
How is the only person in the OP detailed with having a weapon not a vigilante. :X

Considering Think was making up our win conditions, I suspect Max didn't intend us to win by killing NF. However, even if he did, NF still has optional NK-immunity (and he was spot-on about us attempting to kill him N1 and failing) and we didn't even know whom we had to kill. Besides, it doesn't fit into flavor - the only one connected to NF was Nuke.

And by the way, I made up my name on the spot. I'm actually Simon Heed :D Seeing the hunt for him, safe behind my fake name, was awesome, let me tell you.

Also, I was kinda disadvantaged compared to my teammates - they were provided fake identities by Max while I had to make up my own. :( And nobody noticed that discrepancy between my flavor claim and Jack's. :DDD Really, a wek play by the town. I expected a harder fight.
You and NUKE exploiting your meta exposed you, because you used it to the point of abuse. I probably would've seen that earlier if I hadn't been panicking all day. :U
