There are ways to do this, sort of. But what you are suggesting would require a rewrite of the world gen code, since it's random by nature, the only way to do what you are suggesting is by regenning worlds until you get a satisfactory one, which can take a very long time.

Subheadings would be great for the smelter, since it's really annoying now how we have so many reactions and they all show up, which clutters things horribly.

Maybe we could also have the reactions that we can perform at the top, so we don't have to scroll halfway through all the red reactions.

But other races aren't dwarves, so they shouldn't count.

Slaves should be able to do whatever a dwarf can do, except they will never create quality items, they'll all be no quality.

Slave revolutions would happen as well.  Most slaves, maybe only of one race, would rise up and try to overthrow the dwarves.

No.

They would all rush out at the same time, eager to escape and corrupt everything possible.

If dwarves have no qualms with killing elves in cold blood, then they shouldn't have a problem with slavery. But they should only be able to enslave invaders, which would be especially relevant with the army arc.

Doesn't higher farming make more crops and high plant gathering increase the chance of finding plants?

Cooking and Brewing produce quality, but for booze it isn't shown.

I do like the idea for wood burning, since we don't do much wood burning let alone lye and potash making.

We should have quality levels for cheese in my opinion, so that should be different. Maybe milking and cheese making could be combined.

Dying and tanning should have quality levels too.

I do support milling and plant processing being together, but pressing is also used for honey production.

Fish dissecting is one of the skills that hasn't really been implemented yet and is just sitting there, so is animal caretaker and small animal dissection.

The two siege skills should be different though, as operating things and making things are 2 very different skills.

Pump operating is also a bit of a white elephant. IMO, it should be tied to strength, so that the stronger you are, the more you can pump and maybe endurance would increase duration you can pump for. These attributes would go up as you operated pumps. But pump operating would still be needed to choose who to operate pumps. I do agree with moving it to misc. as well.

Dwarves needing alcohol to work at peak efficiency is being addicted.

Anyway, I think that there shouldn't be an underground crop, as that wouldn't be effected by the weather and I think that it's important that tobacco can only be grown in certain biomes as it would supplement the caravan arc.
