General Discussion / Re: The upcoming virtual reality hardware war

That Vive headset seems fairly impractical currently... but with a few modifications to the hand-thingies and some additional dev it could potentially make an awesome in-person 3d-modeling device.

Edit: Game is out now!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/368340/CrossCode/

Main website: http://www.cross-code.com/en/home
In-Browser Demo (entire game is HTML5 apparently): http://www.cross-code.com/en/start
Indiegogo campaign: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/crosscode#home

I found this game on newgrounds and it actually looks really good.  Its got a Secret of Mana vibe to it and a very good demo.

IndieGames.com Article: http://indiegames.com/2015/03/leas_fists_are_better_than_any.html

The story is basically: Girl is controlling an avatar in an MMO that exists in reality (control a robot instead of be in a digital game).  She is in the game for the second time because she lost her memory or something and people think this will help her retrieve it, and she also has voice module issues so she is mute (except for words that get hacked in for her or something like that) so almost sorta silent protagonist.

Its actually kinda a shame its not on kickstarter because, imo, that seems to attract more attention than Indiegogo.  The IndieGoGo campaign itself closes March 27 and its got €50,000 to go at this point, I do hope they make it.

You don't need a time limit or cast limit, if somebody casts Beard too much they suffocate in their own beard hair.
That's how my grandfather Urist went.

We didn't even need to buy him a burial shroud.

What if its a beard-lich?

Haxus didn't ban, he account nuked (delete all posts) on the forum.  He nuked Torikhtil for a series of comments, and then shortly after Rein who made a post that more or less attempted to use every curse/attack in the book from what I remember in an attempt to also get nuked.   D3Matt, the original forum host, wasn't nuked or banned.   No one was banned in-game either (only one person has ever been in-game banned, and he more or less asked for it and Haxus was happy to try out his account-close tool).

There totally needs to be an SCP for this dress.

What if there already is an SCP for this dress but we cant read it because we don't have the right lighting/angle?

That is one of the best trees I have ever seen :o

Genuinely. If all the art is up to that standard...

Pretty close to what this looks like:

10 lbs in 2 days quite possibly can signify a massive amount of water loss / dehydration so be careful.

Old bugs/ai lag are still there but hes working on server crashes and lag bugs right now.  The movement patch is still there though so it at least seems smoother on the movement end (and lag typically isn't an issue except in systems with a bunch of troops or where some weird bug happens... or at least with the current systems load)

Haxus has actually decided to drop his third project for now and just do Hazeron again since people offered to pay.

As for galaxy size, I think he plans to open it up as player numbers increase (and of course depending on how many people keep subbing hes figuring out how his server contract is going to be renewed this year, and if it goes well hes considering getting a better server) http://hazeron.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7043&p=80571#p80571

News: apparently Haxus has been convinced to bring back Hazeron in a limited fashion (drastically reduced number of systems and servers) to sit while he works on his third game. He would restore the forums as well. (see update on www.hazeron.com as well)

Unfortunately, the game (Gravity Well 6) isn't that great right now (needs quite a bit of work, and it has microtransactions to upgrade space fighters in a sort of arcade-style buy something and keep it till you blow up thing).. plus it actually needs a lot of people to buy and play it to even get those multiplayer servers filled.  I'm a bit too shrekked though to actually list everything or call up Haxus to give feedback though due to taking care of grandfather in hospital/home prep 12+ hours a day, so that'll have to be other people.

Buy it if you enjoyed Hazeron and want him to work on it again I guess, as he wants this and another game to sorta help fund Hazeron development if he can get them going.

I feel that transphobes have the responsibility to come out to any prospective partner before anything gets serious. I mean, it's something that's potentially very important to the relationship, ya know?

I feel like hardcore feminists should come out before anything gets serious. Potentially very important, right?
Muslims, too.
Atheists.
Democrats.
Republicans.
Hippies.
Pro-marijuana.
Buddhists.
etc.

The list (almost) goes on forever, that kind of argument can be made for almost anything. If you think it's important to tell your partner, then tell your partner. Personally, if I found out I'd been dating someone trans for a long while I'd go into massive shock, but I also (at least like to think) I'd get over it and be accepting after a small amount of time. That's me personally, however, different people react in different ways.

Just thought I'd let Bay12 know I'm a hardcore nose picker before we get into a too serious relationship.  I hope you are all as picky as I am.
