:o omg i won :o
((Not for long. The RNG is a fickle being. It does not favor someone for long. Sooner or later it will doom you, just like how it doomed me.

I still want to stab you in the face for some reason.))

I'm missing Beirus', NAV's and endlessblaze's actions.

I'll wait another day or so.

FAKEEDIT: Just noticed that I've actually got a PM from NAV.

EDIT: Now I just need Beirus to show up with his action. I mean, it's pretty obvious that it's going to be something along the lines of "Crush Coward. See him driven before me. Hear the lamentations of his women.", but I'd like to make it official.

Nah, I'll just stab Delekates and hope that RNG doesn't hate me.

1)  All 0 DC words stay the same.   They're mostly non-effect words, from what I've seen.
2)  All -1 DC words go to 0.  They can be worked around.
3)  With one exception, all -2 and lower negative words go to -1.  They're actual penalties to the effect, and in cases where the effect is less obvious, make them so.
4)  Limit multiple negative words.  Either hard limit them to one, or make using more than one give the spell a chance to outright fail; something like a 1/N chance of success, where N is the number of negative words in the spell.
5)  Leave that -5 word that involves suicide where it is.  It's a suicide word; it's got enough of a penalty.
6)  Change it so total spell DC is minimum 1.  So if you have Fragile (-3) Sand (1), the DC comes out as -2 -> 1 (so you can see the unmodified DC for estimating cost of words.)
This sounds great to me. I'll change the DCs to this if no one objects.

And since it appears that no one is against the combat rules change, I'll change them too.

Eh, might as well break the tie.

Turn 40
Run, to the forest area, or magma caverns, whichever one is closest.
"Time for some group <3!"

<3 for everyone!
Burrow into the gelatinous nebula and wiggle happily.
[Starn SPD:1+1-1=1]
[Thrakor SPD:3+1=4]
[Fake!Derm SPD:2+1-1=2]

The battle in the Grand Hall continues with Thrakor gaining the initiative and turning to face Fake!Derm, while invoking a spell.

[Thrakor POT:4,4,2,5,1,4,6,4,6,3=8 > DC:3. POT:5,4,3,5,3,1,3,4,3,6=5. 13vs3]
[Thrakor DEX:4+1=5]
[Fake!Derm SPD:3+1-1=3]

The <3mancer creates a glowing, white ball that is immediately launched at the aluminum man. With much better aim this time - it hits its target in the left shoulder and rips it apart into hundreds of miniscule fragments, then rearranging them into various geometrical shapes that fall onto the ground. Along with Fake!Derm's left arm.

Fake!Derm: Left Arm - [Gone]

He's understandably not amused by that and attempts to retaliate with a spell of his own.

[Fake!Derm POT:2,3,3,6,2,3,6,3,4,5,5,4=8 > DC:6. POT:3,1,6,3,1,4,5,5,1,5,2,1=2. 10vs6]
[Fake!Derm DEX:3+1-1=3]
[Thrakor SPD:3+1=4]

A small wall of crystal rises out of the ground and moves in Thrakor's direction, who is on a different floor. Suprisingly enough, the wall doesn't stop upon hitting the Grand Hall's wall and begins scaling it. Thrakor, however, notices it pretty quickly and dives out of its way.

Starn, having had enough of getting burned and possible death, decides to leg it to [2] the Magma Cavern. Seeing that the stairs are quite far away and being in a hurry, he attempts to simply drop down to the lower floor.

[Starn DEX:4+1-1-1=3]
[Starn END:2+1=3]

The burns he sustained cause him to let go of the ledge in a less controlled fashion than he'd like and lands awkwardly, hurting his leg a little. Then he hurries into the hallway leading to the cavern.

Starn Gundar: Right Leg - [Pain]
Say the first five words on the first page on the book, pausing a bit each time to observe the results. ((Am I doing it right?))
You look at the first page and begin reciting the first words you see. Oh, and you're pretty sure you just heard someone say something along the lines of "Assign POT to your spells next time. Also you have 4 POT, not 5. So 4 spells max. Didn't notice that earlier.".

[POT:6=2 = DC:2]

You summon a pool of some foul-smelling clear liquid.

[POT:6=2 > DC:1. POT:3=9. 2vs1]

You summon a small pile of sand.

[POT:5=1 < DC:2]

Nothing happens.

[POT:3=0 < DC:2]

Also nothing. You try to cast another spell, but can't. Looks like you're out of magic juice for now.
Repeat, goddamnit. RUN AWAY/
Did I send a thing? If not, Try again. Third time's the charm, right?
[Coward SPD:1+2-1-1=1]
[Beirus SPD:3+1=4]

The adamantine man executes yet another slash, the whip-like sword flying through the air once more.

[Beirus DEX:5+1
[Coward SPD:4+2-1-1=4]
[Beirus STR:5]
[Coward END:5]

The blade hits Coward in the right arm and easily slices through the cloth covering it. The sharp edge swiftly passes through the flesh, cleanly severing the appendage.

Coward McGannigan: Right Arm - [Gone], [Losing Blood]

Coward continues running away, adrenaline helping with the pain, and tries to cast that one spell again.

[Coward POT:1,4,2,3,1,5,5,6=3 < DC:8]

And he fails once again.

You eye the newly arrived guy for a while. He didn't anything dangerous looking yet.

[POT:4=1 < DC:4]

Your spell fizzled.

[POT:2=0 < DC:5]

So did this one.

[POT:6=2 < DC:5]

And this one.

[POT:1=-1 << DC:5]

You're having no luck with spells for some reason. Maybe it's the new arrival's fault?
((grrr...ipad is dead))

say random word
You open the Perplexicon at a random page and say a random word.

[whatwasthesiteiusedforthisagain?=76]

[POT:1,1,4,6=1 < DC:10]

Nothing happens.

The newly created zombie begins shambling towards endlessblaze.

Roll To Dodge / Re: Special People: In the line of fire

Saevus looks at John with a look that could only be understood as disapproval. How he can give someone a look of disapproval when he doesn't really have a face, his face-equivalent being a helmet with no facial features and other things important for visual communication, you ask? I have absolutely no idea.

"I certainly hope so."

Still, I'd like to have something to deter possible poking. Summon the biggest crossbow I can and load it up. Fire at anything that pokes (or attempts to (or looks like it might)) anything.

Saevus is basically using the poking as an excuse to amuse himself. This waiting is terribly boring. And the fact that there's a battle raging over there and he can't join in is irritating.

Waiting for endlessblaze's action.

What are we designing tanks for when we have mechs? I take it as a challenge to use it as our primary armor.
I support this statement.
