Oh, and a simpler way to get the whole caravan (although it IS cheating, so I would not suggest anyone here does it) is just deconstruct the depot, all their stuff falls to the ground and becomes yours for the measly price of a trade depot.

Ah, it's just a loyality cascade. Failcannon survived one of those as well.This is just it but! Dont You get it? Re-read the Update. There was no Loyalty Cascade. There were only two attackers. One was Twangykid, the other MarkAFK. Twangykid was killed by a Captain of the Guard, and MarkAFK was murdered by a Recruit. Its over. No Tantrums, No Problems, No Surviving Traitors. Nothing.
You have to isolate the "hostile" dwarves from the rest of the population, otherwise everyone will be at each others throat.
You may have screwed the Fortress over there. Last I heard (0.31), if you order a military individual to attack a Dwarven caravan, they become an Enemy. Which means they are aggressive to all other dwarves. But when they attack him, they become Enemies themselves. A death spiral ensues, punctuated with tantrums. If this is the case, I suggest you savescumIts probably a good thing then, that only Twangykid and MarkAFK did the deed. I havent screwed anyone - Or, at least noone thats still alive

Did a bit more testing and found that spiked ball traps are prety good against zombos. Not sure how different abominable smoke are though.And where the heck do You suppose We get effective spiked balls? Because I was using Wooden ones. I tore them down for being useless.
