in my latest fort i have been getting a lot of migrant legendary musicians. i think i have 12 of them right now out of 48 dwarves. just fine for my tavern, but it seems a little unusual

elves are only useful if you need extra wood between other caravans or are building a zoo. Or, are building an elf zoo.

Interesting. Apparently, by definition, you could use the word 'fracture' for things other than bones, its just that it would be highly unusual. So basically, this animal's heart has been literally separated into two pieces. Now if those counted as separate hearts, it might actually be harder to kill, like a super camel or something. I'm pretty happy to have it survive, since it is someone's pet. I suppose it should be fortress mascot or something.

I have a pet ram here with a broken left false rib and a FRACTURED HEART. Its been alive for quite a while in this condition. How is this possible?

how can i butcher live wild animals that are in cages? can that be done? I am continually collecting more in my cage traps, so id like to put them to some use, and although i've breached the caverns, the moss is still sparse in my fortress

thanks. i couldnt figure out how to butcher wild animals, though. with tame animals i just designate them by inspecting them through the unit list

i have some dead grazing animals in cages (grassless embark) and i want to remove the bodies so i can use the cages again. how do i do this? thanks.

are clay hives bugged? when i try to queue them at the kiln, it shows me a wierd screen that lists the reagents and products... I have clay in my stone stockpile...

milling seeds and nuts...one would have to be careful not to use them all up i imagine.

i would really like a way to allocate only a portion of goods to a /repeated task...

i had an underground hive, channeled the floor above it so it was exposed to the air and it counted as having access.
