Like topic says. I suddenly find that on my farming floor there is tree sap growing everywhere. Same with shrubs. IS this a bug or intended feature?

As of now i need to make new uniform templates everytime i start new game. Uniform templates should be saved for future uses like custom embark profiles.

Can marksdwarves shoot down from second floor of keep? I read somewhere that they can shoot up or down Z levels but with less range. Though when i station archers at second floor with fortifications they never shot at goblin raiding party.

They arnt level up messages, they simply let you know when a worker has changed what skill he is best in. For example, a fishery worker has high-master fishing, then he gets legendary miner, it will give you a message stating he is now a miner.

Ahhh. Those i get on announcements. But what about messages that show that certain dorf has increased in certain skill messages i saw in some screenshots?
Have they been removed from the game or something?

Technically it's still supposed to be in there, but it doesn't actually happen. The economy enables when you get a tax collector noble, and much like the dungeon master they (almost?) never show up.

Thanks for the info. Perhaps ill reduce my pop cap a bit then if its rare occurrance. Hmm, Is there way to mod it that they arrive more often?

So no way to safe uniforms for future use? And i have to make new uniform templates everytime i start new game?

Hmmm. So what i dig up in here tells that if i use stone to do something like decorate floors with stones it wont eat up fps? As i normally like to decorate stone tiles before i put workshops etc over them for better looks. Though every single floor tile i have made shows in building list.

Is there anyway to save uniforms to use for any new games you start after current one? So i dont have to make the uniform again for every world or fortress. Same for alerts?

Hey. Long time forum lurker and first time poster here. :P

After playing a while i noticed that few interface improvisations would benefit the game a lot.

First for the status screen:

-Would be nice to be able to search items in stocks screen etc by keyword or something like that.
-Also status screen should have tab that lists all your dorfs in a list without the jobs cluttering it like in the job screen.
*You should be able to sort the list by job and what they are doing atm.
*Also list should show you invidual skills of dorfs without you to need to check everyone invidually in game screen or use job screen to select dorf and zoom to creature and the check them.

Job screen:

-Same as status screen about sorting or searching by name.
-Job manager screen should only list jobs you have materials atm when making new order. Similar how workshops show only items you have materials to make.

Workshop screens.
-Noticed that some workshops list all items you can make and some list only what materials you have. Is it possible to make rest of the workshops only show list of jobs to make that you have materials for.
-In some workshops add job menu you can move with arrow keys to select and some only accept letters. Is there reason for this difference?


Other than that game has been awesome so far. Keep up the good work. :D
