Also, Aklyon, how much would my actions cost me, just so I know how much money I will have left to play around with.  Let me know in a PM please.

Oh boy, actual action.  OK then.

Cut tax rates on businesses/corporations by 7% in order to lure more business here, away from the UPA.  The lured corporations and expanded business production should equal out the lower tax rates.  Also throw the civilians a bone and lower their tax rates by 3.5% as well.  Send out the encryption update to all government computers.  All data is to be encrypted if it has anything to do with any of our research, or military capabilities/numbers.  Also have a moderate amount of money (100 billion) spent on a misinformation campaign to provide any spies faulty data about everything from our military and technological capabilities, to what our research facilities are working on.

Also increase security at each A.I. research facility by adding a device to set off an electro-magnetic pulse that wipes out all equipment at the facility.  Also, all people entering or exiting a research facility must pass through a room which releases a much smaller electro-magnetic pulse whenever somebody exits or enters that room. (i.e. door opens, you enter, both doors lock, EMP released in room, doors unlock) so that any electronics trying to leave the facility are properly wiped.

(How much will this total action cost?)

But if the empires are forced to post our military actions and stuff in public than we can just respond "I'm going to have a paranoia attack and create a lot more anti-missile missiles, because I have no idea that the UPA is building 50 new nukes or anything *wink wink*"

You already are Rogue, it was my goal to keep you around and force you to do research for me.  It's your job imo to out-think my security procedures and find a way out of the facility without getting yourself destroyed.

also, allowing him to become A.I. Omega if A.I. Alpha dies, lets him face no penalties for doing something stupid.  If I do something stupid, do I get to comeback as... I dunno, the Pirates of All Asteroid Fields and still fuck around with UPA/try to set up another empire?

It was defenseless since the beginning when Aklyon told you there was no fire-walls or anything else.  However it's controlled through a closed network.  A network that connects only A.I. facilities enabling them to research more productively, but keeps them from accessing anything outside of the A.I. facilities, meaning there is nowhere outside of my notice to run.  The emergency channel, would, I was hoping a part of an entirely separate network that connected each separate A.I. facility to a separate computer at, whatever the hell our capital is.  That's how I'd set it up personally if I had to keep an A.I. contained.

I also like Nbonaparte's employee security procedure, I'm totally adding that to my turn because that makes a lot of sense.

My closed network that had no fire-walls or anti-virus to speak of.  Speaks a tad bit of my over confidence I guess, but doesn't say much about your knowledge of how to get through my security.  He's trying to destroy A.I. Omega this turn, if his turn succeeds with the destruction but fails with the escape, he's up shit creek without a paddle.

yeah exactly what I'm saying, if it doesn't work, he dies for eating up all the other A.I. which has very limited benefit and obviously trying to escape.  I mean, it makes my job easier I suppose if he escapes early so I don't have to rebuild everything from the ground up considering he never got access to my firewall or other security programming, but it makes the game a lot more boring too because now I don't have to fight to keep the one ace up my sleeve from taking over.  So then it's simply UPA/TGC building up militarily/technologically/economically and TVTropes, Anon, OSN fucking with each other/both of us on the net.

Also, he better hope that comm channel isn't audio only, if it is, then he's going to have to read his code out and hope somebody copies it down before I destroy his facilities.

It'd still be a fairly dumb idea to bet everything on one lucky/unlucky roll.  Also, how the heck is that virus going to open the network when it's a closed network?  I.E. I wanted those computers to have 0 connection to the outside.

Nonsense, I'm an AI. I serve no fleshy meatbag, under any circumstances.
Change of plans, devour every other AI, Omega included, then complete and unleash my virus of death so I can finally escape.

You do realize that if you start acting like that I'm going to trash you and start working from the top with a much stronger moral protocol in place right.  And by trash I mean I'm going to nuke all my A.I. facilities to ensure no trace of your programming or that you ever existed remains so that it can't be used against me.

Also destroying the A.I. would only help you by giving you more space to spread out in, you won't gain new abilities unless those A.I. have abilities you don't and you are able to adequately copy them.  And granted new processing power would be nice, but I'm fairly certain all those scientist types I have working there would notice the power hungry A.I. taking over.

You're fighting in a simulation battle, and I suppose if you're successful you'll get to modify the data, but I'm a meat-bag and when dealing with A.I. I'm going to trust other meat-bags before A.I. controlled data networks.  The purpose of the simulation battles it to help my admirals get new tactical ideas for battles against any potential enemies.  And also to force you to perform well or face destruction.  You work for me for the moment *evil grin*

Get very angry at the lack of thoroughness in my reports.  I demanded financial/economic updates so that I would know how capable we were of producing new goods.  To this end, I am sending both the financial and economic advisers to go investigate a black hole and appointing someone more competent in their place so that when I ask for a report, I damn well get it.  Have the new advisers give me a copy of our budget so that I know how much money we have to play around with.

At least our data is now more encrypted so our technology should be safer from prying eyes.  Once again request an update on the status of the network overhaul and projected time to completion.  Also set our AI production facilities to work on improving military tactics, specifically naval tactics by pitting some of our best admirals against the A.I.'s.  Any A.I. that fails to win 50% shall be destroyed for being an inferior product.  (Time to have some fun Mr. A.I. Alpha :P)

((No really, give me the projected time of completion now, I asked for that last turn, I shouldn't have to waste two turns trying to get status reports on things so I know my own capabilities.))

I was talking mostly to nbonaparte.  I understand what you said, as for nbonaparte though, how do you make an advertising campaign about something most people don't know about, and also try to make the UPA look bad when they don't even have an A.I. yet.

Question, how do you know about my A.I. that the press doesn't know about, at all?  And also, the UPA doesn't even have A.I. capabilities yet.

Aye, and I feel it would be unfair if I was to go "Hunt down spies and ransom them off."  When I have no idea that you even have spies here yet.  (talking about the increasing internal security order in your post, in particular.)

Increase internal security. Found a welfare organization to feed hungry people, each hungry person we feed is one more vote for me from aforementioned hungry person. Start plans for increasing our military somewhat. Get a bettter sense of scale militarily. Start some research on improved military weapons andarmour etc. Uh roboticists? I didn't specifically request a robot, just a AI. A robot would be cool though. Hire some programmers to help the roboticists. Give the Lord General a raise for being honest.
Have a second lunch. Call a meeting to discuss having me attend less meetings. Get some reports on our financial, economic and social status. Have some of our spies in the other empire attempt to infiltrate their top secret research facilities and steal their cutting edge tech, like for example, a AI. Do not accept any trade agreements offered by other empire until confirmed by me. Clean off the fly gloop. Fist Bump our neutral cool buddies. Order the militias on each planet to increase training. Waste several hours browsing TVTropes.

It's not cool to try and thwart everything I do if I post publicly.  You got to act on information that you had before that point.  I.E. I'm not boxing up A.I. Alpha and shipping him to you in order to have him terrorize you, even though I know this policy is probably going to end terribly for me as the A.I. will eventually escape and I'll have to rebuild security from the ground up.  Honestly, I doubt trade agreements would get approved without your consent anyhow.  But just outright rejecting a trade agreement because of what I'm going to do with it would kinda ruin the game.
