You could always set up one section as a menacing spike to lever on repeat.

also, "The Forest Of Lobsters"
I found an area called "The Fingers of Cavorting."
Kinda strange.
Obsidian does have a bit higher value, notable even among magma-safe stones. If you're scarce on precious metals, obsidian crafts can be your best trade good and building material.isn't obsidian an economic stone, defaulting to unusable and only appearing on the stone menu if you make its max edge >10k instead of its default of 20k?
Is there a trick to getting items out of bins?
I have tried to take soap out of the bins and get it stored individually in a separate stockpile by setting up a flow using "take from a pile" command. Yet nothing happens.
Soap is not Forbidden.
Is it just the buggy nature of the soap or am I doing something wrong?
TIA
Oh deer.I read your deer, and I raise you llamas.
Deer manage to be an even greater nuisance to me than elephants (in their own biomes, that is). A deer managed to slip inside one of my fortresses and into my magma industry halls once and stalled all production for a season or more. Also managed to wound some dwarves when they bumped into it. An elephant slipped into another fort, and ran away to a long backup tunnel (instead of goring everyone once cornered, as I expected).
I've had goblin thieves less dangerous than them.
