you have to scroll down to see the rest of the wounds, stuff like internal wounds (spine, liver, lungs) and peripheral stuff (fingers, toes, etc) don't show up till you use + and - to go down

yeah... until toady brings in some sort of "trade everything in your depot" it just seems like too much work to bother :P

I regularly use DFclean to make sure my fort doesn't have too much crap around, almost all my animals are in cages ( cept breeding pairs of jaguars, black bears, grizzlies, wolves and cougars), the caverns are totally walled off, I haven't gotten around to making my magma spire....
Does having massive stockpiles of everything count? cause I currently have 15k drink and 10k food, as well as an embark spanning pyramid which I'm quite proud of :P

Yeah, it was me that had the axe incident
It was an masterwork cotton candy axe hit to the neck, so that may have been a contributing factor...

Honestly, I wouldn't care about this so much, except for the armor provided by the clothes being lost...
specially when cleaning in an active danger room, a full set of normal clothes can go a long way to preventing a tantrum spiral, ala

yes, shields can be named, tbh, some times, before the weapons are
and yeah, I'm pretty sure dwarves can grow attached to their armor, but they don't NAME them : P
also, I have nfi if theres a difference between named and not named, a +5 legendary axedwarf is a +5 legendary axedwarf with a masterwork steel axe or an artifact one

armor isn't a problem, I'm pretty sure that they A, don't get attached, and B, automatically upgrade anyway
my current problem is getting my dwarves to unequip their named Masterwork steel weapons and move up to Masterwork Adamantium : P
I don't really want to disband all of my squads and reassign them, but I THINK that would work... (I have something like 60-70 dwarves with full masterwork steel equip =/), so re assigning them would... take a rather long time

Well, yeah I was making a glass brick road, and that involved messing with some murky pools, but they've all evaporated by now....
if it makes a difference, I've colonised hell, but there are only about 3-4 demons at any given time

recently, I had a sudden and massive drop in my fps (40~ to 10~), and I'm just wondering what happened
all that I changed was, A, I downloaded the no exotic program, B, a wave of 4 migrants arrived...

I have tons and tons of ore, two full time smelters (although noticed one was on silver, moved them to iron now) and they seem to struggle to keep up with a single armorer. Is that usual?

That depends on their skill level and how far they have to go to get ore. If you haven't already you should make a stockpile near your smelters that only accepts the ore(s) you're working with at the time.

If you want workshops on repeat you'd need at least 4 smelters: One making coke, one making iron, one making pig iron, and one making steel. The easier way to do it is to use the job manager ([j]->[m]) to queue up big jobs all at once. Usually I wait until I have a big supply of iron and coke and use the job manager to order 30 or so pig iron jobs, and when that's filled I order the steel. And again, things will go much faster if you have dedicated stockpiles for all the materials (flux, iron, pig iron, coke) near the smelters.

I think you need 5, cause you need 2 producing iron, cause it takes iron to make pig iron...

Well, yeah, as you can read above, this Sapphire FB freaking refuses to die
unfortunately, I can't close in to a melee because of my cowardly dwarves refusing to deconstruct my fortifications so my clown stomping military can deal with it
so basically all I've been able to do is draft some peasents into marksdwarves, and I shit you not, the FB now was THREE pages of embedded humanite bolts >.>
so yeah, while its there, my fortress is basically crippled, because its decided to sit itself between my Meeting room + Magma forges/smelters+food and booze stocks, and the rest of my fortress +outside....
yeah, its getting kinda annoying
any ideas?
