You can kinda sorta rip their guts out. If your character's strong enough and has a free hand, you can grab their guts and pinch them. Sometimes that'll end up severing them, I think. I haven't done it in a while so I can't remember if you still have hold of them or if they go flying off in an arc or just disappear or what.

Temporarily distracted by a naked female elf, I don't notice the attack until the three are already after us; otherwise I would've smashed the goblin's head when it looked around. So I'll do that now.

A good way to get companions is to create an adventurer. Note both their name and the name of the town they start in and retire them. Create a new adventurer, find that town and person, and recruit them. You can retire multiple adventurers in the same town to get a party set up the way you want it.

Er, so I've heard. I only ever solo, so I've never tried it.

Go to Legends Mode and look for them. IIRC people you've played as will be near the bottom of the list, and their names will be in blue (I think, I don't use Legends that much).
